Does anyone think these gems will help the generations aged sixty and below? I can't see it happening. Look at how people dressed in those days. No matter what the amount of finance they had. Very nice in suits, shoes and haircut. Where did the suits, hats, shirts, and shoes come from? In these times, people had pride. Then Margaret Sanger, Planned Parenthood, government benefits, etc. came in. Fatherless homes, etc. Most people, especially children, can't even read or write their names. Those days we will never see again

Born in 1954 I was born on the road in clarendon texas on the way to california originally from mississippi where my dad and his brother were chased out by white folks. My mom and dad were defiant in the face of daily open racism by white folk demanding that black folk cower and grovel in their presence. For my mom and dad to survive and raise us kids they had to show some level of deference to random white folks sense of superiority over you. play to their racist perceptions of you and avoid angering them. Well my dad was not fully on board with that bs.

My mother & Father left South Carolina in the early 1960’s and went to New York after graduating from High School! I was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1962. The only jobs you could get in the south back then was sharecropping, housekeeper, picking cotton, grounds keeper for the wealthy , working on farms for whites. My mother told me couldn’t wait to leave from that oppressive state. She was on the first grey hound bus right after graduating from High school and moved in with her older sister sharing a room. My mom is 81 years old and dad is 83 years old today (divorced 40 years ago). I am thankful they moved to New York back then!

Many of my people left the Carolinas for the North and better opportunities. In the last few decades people have been moving back. Including myself. I recently retired and left the DC metro area for more affordable living in South Carolina. Times, things, and people change and move in different directions!

One wrong piece of information; buses were the mode of travel back then (Trailways and Greyhound). We couldn't afford the train because it was expensive back then.

The north wasn’t much better as for racism but a least slavery was partly over unless they got arrested. The 13th amendment still enslaved and still does to this day. Build and fill prisons = slave labor !!!!! A slave country always will be most people just don’t realize it

These AI generated pics are an insult to how the real people looked who had to flee lynch mobs, violence etc. I’ve found entire communities of very lightskinned (could pass for white) Black people up north whose origins were in the south. The visual lies need to stop. The reason we see so many darker people now is because they’re black immigrants😎

Some of the young BP have dishonored n disrespected their ancestors, families long hard figth for their rights, by voting for the biggest Klan. Some BP can't get over that slave mentality, the love for their masters. They're are going to relive segregation.

Just be patience the end days is close and rhen they will finally see the truth and even then they wont believe it. Not even God will convinced them of the evil their race has done to the very race they copied everything from. Just let God vengence be his and we stay trying to live in this hell they have for us.

This has some truth but most of this is incorrect. Johnson and the democrat party had no choice but to sign the bill. That republicans had passed the bill in both the house and senate. Less than 20 democrats voted to pass the civil rights bill

Yes, unfortunately, voter suppression schemes are still happening. Various tactics are being used to restrict voting access, such as purging voter rolls, imposing strict voter ID laws, limiting mail-in voting, and reducing early voting periods. These measures often disproportionately affect communities of color, the elderly, students, and people with disabilities.
