Is that track on V8 Supercars one
@nederpiet2 жыл бұрын
It is the full quarter mile, not the shorter distance that they do now. It is in Mantorp Park in Sweden. Mantorp stopped for a few years, after Tierp Arena was build, but has it's own races again, since a few years. The event they call the "Drag Revival" is the best. It brought back many memories, this year. There is also a race track around it, for cars that go around and around, I hope the answers your question.

Some years ago I was by Günther and I should help starting the dragster... The sound was so incredible that I took my hands very fast to my ears. Günther wasn't impressed, he had to hear the sound to see what was wrong or not. Big moment !!!

This CAN happen to ANY Pro rider!!...up on that wheelie,..a rider’s balance can be tossed left or right,...then tire spin!...then grip towards some direction!!...(any vehicle)....an ideal launch, straight out is sought after but sometimes lack of proper grip or wrong/off wheelie bar/chassis setting can set this dilemma up for you. Hope there wasn’t too much damage to the “tree” or the bike & rider’s pride!..(so the racing could go on..) Could’ve happened to anyone of us racing!..just wait for YOUR TURN!☝🏾

I was at that event, remember seeing this bike. The single cylinder bike was a real trip. Back when drag racing was still innovative and less copycat.

I don't car what you Limy Blokes say , but I've a two CBX's and am working on a Cafe racer X. It dosen't have much HP by todays standards In it's day it was the worlds fastest Production Bike !! that said , it handled like a 3 legged cow in Quik sand . But Fuck every one it is still the sweetest sounding Bike ever . When I put my 67yr old leg over it I feel like Hailwood!!!!!!!

Any idea about what happened to Gerard Willemse? I haven't seen him and his triumph supertwin in recent videos.
@nederpiet6 жыл бұрын
The Triumph was Fubar after Gainesville. Gerard put it on display in a museum in the UK. That museum burned down, and so did the bike. Gerard styarted constructing another paralel twin. It's the bike that Olstad rides called Thunderstruck. kzbin.info/www/bejne/il6mfZijjNKVrNk

No disrespect to the team or the BUG, but maybe teaching her what the hand signals mean and how to use them should have been done long before the car hit the track and also for her sake, tell her chasing the car is wonderful to watch, but exhausting for her. She should have been somewhere near where they would anticipate the car to finish it's burnout.
