According to Robert’s Bird Guide, Southern Africa is home to two species of Night Herons: the White-backed Night Heron and the Black-crowned Night Heron. These fascinating birds are a delight to observe in their natural habitat! If you’d love to deepen your knowledge about these and other incredible birds, we invite you to join our 7-day Birding in the Bush course for an unforgettable hands-on experience, or explore our Online Birding Enthusiast course to learn at your own pace from anywhere. Let’s take your birding passion to the next level! 🦆🐦🦅

Very interesting bird. Could you make a video about the African Skimmer?
@EcoTraining
@EcoTraining 9 күн бұрын
Thanks for your suggestion! 🤩 The African Skimmer is such a fascinating bird, but they only very rarely occur around our camps. If we do get the chance to spot one, we’ll be sure to include it in a video. Thanks again for the idea! 🙏🏼🐦
