Exemplary music like this is powerful enough to conjure images of picturesque landscapes in your mind. The measured manner with which the guitar is strummed, the cadenced vocals that prefaces this track, and the mellifluous chord changes - all these elements meld into each other to produce one immensely calm and beautiful piece of artwork. Listening to this evoked the same idyllic sentiments that had arisen in me when I listened to Shannon Lay's 'Rare to Wake'. Here, Helena's vocals are delivered in a manner that is comparable to Lana Del Rey, but less languid, more deliberate and definitely worldly-wise. I believe Helena has carved herself a niche right here, and I hope she has more up her sleeves, specifically in this style of work, in her future releases. This track made me pay attention to her music, so much so that I had gone onto her Bandcamp to purchase it.

#HelenaDeland - What I perceive or understand is... such sadness... for something so wonderfully feminine. Yes: it's private and very intimate, but never something that need be so terribly burdensome or distressing. - As a conscious human being, you have left me concerned. -
