Yes as I stated in a previous reply too, The AKC, UKC and many other Kennel Clubs recognizes these breeds as the Pitbull-type breeds. Unfortunately they don't give a guideline to as why they have categorized them in that way. The American Bully was bred as a companion dog, but most clubs have recognized them as a Pitbull-type too. May be because the breed was developed by breeding Pitbull Terriers with other breeds. Thanks for highlighting that fact.

The American Pitbull terrier bloodline stands alone those other three breeds have different traits and characteristics.. it's unethical to label the other breeds pitbulls.
@allaboutdogs99152 ай бұрын
@@arielmunoz9835 Yes I agree. The American Pitbull Terrier is unique and stands out. The other 3 breeds have been developed by mostly crossing American Pitbull Terriers with different other breeds. But AKC, UKC and many other Kennel Clubs categorizes these breeds under the "Pitbull-Type Breeds" category. Some Kennel Clubs even includes the Bull Terrier under this category. So I just thought of sharing the information among fellow dog lovers. As you said eventhough the looks are quite similar, they have different traits and personalities.
@benttwisted2102 ай бұрын
Yes, they do stand alone, but, it's due to near breeding, not necessarily inbreeding. Although, that's why you'll see a lot of albino, or, near albino A.P.T's. You know, patches of color, but, mostly white. Very rarely will you see those 2 colors with the other 3 breeds, but, unfortunately, it still happens, due to, irresponsible breeding. The bull terriers though, lots of inbreeding over the decades, almost to the point where that's all you see. I love to see a fawn, or, brindle bull terrier, those are responsible breeders. So, ya, Americans have a tendency to near breed, instead of, traveling out of state, or, importing a breeding companion from across the country. We used to breed boxers & my Dad was an absolute stickler about obtaining a far away breeding companion.

Pitbulls originated from staffies not the other way round yanks changing history again
@benttwisted210Ай бұрын
@@Bluestaffydave where did you pull that from? Not my comment! There's no way, I happen to know where & how all the different breeds come from. It all started with U.K. breeders crossing Bull Terriers with Boxers. I've been an American Staffy owner for over 25 years. The "pitbull" label shouldn't even be recognized to begin with, it's a nickname that became attached to a breed & negatively stigmatized the kind, loving, energetic, etc...breed, to begin with. Any breed can be trained to fight in a pit, even Chihuahuas 😂 Really though, kindly take your condescending remark about a certain nationality changing history & have your leaders go colonize yet another country, like, Australia, (prison colony), South Africa (diamond mines) etc...and, let's not forget, "Yank" land! 😏

I had a Rottie many years ago and I miss him terribly. He lived with 2 rescue cats and an abandoned Bichon in quiet harmony. The funniest day (at least for onlookers) was when he just reached adolescence which I hadn't "noticed". We lived in Paris at that time, opposite a park, and I had the great idea to take him out for a walk in the park where lots of Parisians were also walking their dogs. We set off and suddenly Rottie spotted a dog and pulled so hard on the leash that I fell on to my knees and in my new trousers, was pulled through the grass for at least 100 m. I must say that the other dog owners broke into laughter and clapped - lost a lot of dignity that day.
