The Verizon Benefits Center will have needed to receive your Pension Election and Authorization Forms AND they will have needed to receive notification of your retirement by the 10th of the month in order for you to receive your pension benefit (either the annuity or lump sum) on or around the first day of the next month. This notification process is initiated on your “last day worked” and can take a few business days. Setting a “last day worked” that is roughly a week before the 10th of the month deadline typically provides ample time. If either of these items misses the 10th of the month deadline, you will simply receive your benefit on or around the first day of the following month. Hope this helps! The following index funds are available in the Verizon Mid-Atlantic Savings Plan for Associates: - Passive US Equity Index MA - Passive International Equity Index MA There are also index funds available in the Verizon 401(k) Savings Plan for Management. They are: - US Large Company Index Fund - International Company Index Fund - US Bond Index Fund You can request a prospectus from Fidelity for more information about the portfolio composition of each fund.
