Not sure if you saw, but Noisebug just posted a bundle pair of the Meta D-2000 & a T1 set just the other day! Made me immediately think of you.

What’s the role of the module bottom right with what looks like an scsi ?
@Cfpp02 күн бұрын
@@saren6538 oh, now that you mention it, that DB25 cable does look like a SCSI! It’s a module by nw2s that has 16 outputs that drop the audio signal you feed it by 6db. Then that gets sent through two DB25 cables to your patch bay or interface or mixer at line level rather than modular level.

Beautiful counterpoint. These melodies work as they shift across each other, implying chords... How'd these sequences come about?
@Cfpp03 күн бұрын
Thanks, what a great compliment! The right sequence came first. The RYK Modular M185 sequencer has a quantizer, so it’s pretty easy to audition different pitches per stage. Then you can adjust the pattern for each stage. The sequencer on the left is set to loop after four stages, and it’s being stepped by the gate output of the sequencer on the right. So then any changes to the patterns on the right sequencer will affect how the left sequencers steps through its stages. That’s how the sequencers stutter a bit and overlap each other with some variation.

Guessing that empty space is for the new RYK fm module? Think I saw you comment that you were ordering one. This sounds really nice.

@@Bata9999 had another 112 VCO in that empty space, but it went as part of a trade for a TR-909. But you’re right about the RYK module. Thanks!

Do you have a S-1000? If so how to you manage the absolutely unruly, but fun joystick? I noticed it difficult to get as low frequencies over cv and I can get with the joystick.

@@agkbill yes, just found an S-1000 a month or two ago. Haven’t gotten anything useful out of the joystick yet, but I’ll try again and let you know if I get anything good.

Wonderful! Would be great to just leave it that way, increase dynamics throughout then hit it with some mellotron chords and maybe an octave up theremin melody with tons of vibrato at the end. It’s gorgeous but not saccharine or cliche.

My favorite trick with this is to run a drum sound, and FM'ED oscillator into the waveshaper portion. You will get different results depending on which one you plug to cv. Then add cv sources to the threshold and the comparator to taste. Then mix it all up and try each in a different spot.
