I love this song. The lyrics are joyful, yet the melody and the music are melacholic. There is so much symbolism in that juxtaposition. The joyful lyrics show that for middle class people in industrial countries, up to the rich, christmas is indeed joyful, yet the melancholic melody symbolizes all the people that christmas isn't happy for, people in warzones, poor people who can't afford anything, homeless people who die on the street from the cold, etc. I just love this song for that.
