I have the same laptop with identical problem. I’m not going to repair it as the casing is crack just below the hinges.

At 11:06, above and right of the MOSFET you are testing are to components that look like 0603 capacitors but the designators are PG4402 and PG4403 and on the schematic both part numbers are Gap-Close-Pwr-3-GP. What is this part? I don't know what part is labeled with G or PG, except Power Good signal, but these are SMD components.

Two years later, I’ve just found my old Nook from 2012 and wanted to erase/reset it to put new books on it, but the network error made it impossible for me to deregister it! This video was exactly what I needed and it took me a long time to find the right information for my old and defunct series of Nook. Just wanted to say thanks and keep it up!
