This building is gonna have a new outdoor habitat next year

@ yes do that we got some new animals! we got new lions, two rescued orphans from Alaska, a new silverback for the group, a new polar bear, a new hippo and even koalas now! They even renovated the dolphin building with rock work and bubble machines, also right after they’re done with this outdoor habitat they’re gonna move on to a new phase that won’t be done till 2034 for the zoos 100th anniversary! They’re gonna remodel 4 different animals areas to transform it into an African area which means elephants and the original hippos will be back plus cheetahs for the first time! They’re also creating a new sea lion cove and a penguin enclosure at the north gate! So the seals current pool will be demolished and become the dolphins new outdoor pool! Then 2034-beyond hope it doesn’t take them long they wanna go across the lake behind the wolfs section to create an existing home for grizzlies tigers and leopards there’s a perfect video that will tell you these details perfectly and I beg you to watch it!

Yeah, there is not a lot of videos of this car out there. For this event, they kept the car around the corner and only pulled it out as the busses came in. I don't believe we were allowed to walk over to see the car while at the SVT Headquarters. Everyone was kept together to see the warehouse area and the prototype cars out front.

I did not understand what was going on with one of the circus displays when I saw it, because I was too young to get it, but I recall one of the circus models having buttons that turned on lights that lit up various sections of the circus grounds. Apparently, each button was labeled to identify a section of the circus grounds and the light would highlight the particular section to show where it is when the button was pressed.

I really miss a lot of the old displays the museum used to have. Seemed like they had some really cool interactive exhibits in the past. I used to love the yellow section with all of the demonstrations of how things worked. I also miss the old display that had the pool balls that went through the tubes and such, I forgot what it was called. I really wish I had video of the older exhibits which is what led me to record them as much as I can now.

@A Fera You are correct! Can't remember how many times I read this article in Motor Trend when it came out! This Mustang blew that ZL-1 Camaro out the Water the acceleration numbers weren't even close I guess that what happens when you have a BBF making damn near 900 ft lbs of Torque at the Crank. Interesting fact for the GM fanbois during this meeting the Camaro broke down the Motor was mismatched with it's drive train or had a defective part. The issue was found out to be the 3rd member the Differential wouldn't stand up to the torque created by the Motor. SVT had a lot of parts on hand for emergency Ford lent them a 9 inch Differential so the match could continue. So basically a GM needed Ford parts to run how embarrassing 😅

That at 0:17 is the rare 80 keyless Gebruder Bruder "Elite Orchestra Apollo" Organ once heard at German fairs and circuses. After it first came into House on the Rock it was originally part of the Carousel Room (and apparently provided some of the music there at one point and would have been EXTREMELY LOUD). The machine is loud when in operation because it was designed to be heard across large outdoor area! They never play it in the present exhibit it is in apparently because of bad acoustics.

The footage of the Blue Room (the one at 15:39) playing the song "Anvil Chorus" as it is here is EXTREMELY RARE! It playing in this manner is the result of a multi phase "major renovation" project completed by Late 2011 (around a particular malfunction making the bassline countermelody of the audio arrangement to be loudest over the main part that is typically loudest). The different between this special version and the typical version of the songs that it plays normally is that the bass notes are not only loudest but embellished by special deep pitched treble layers that correspond with the louder bassline parts of the music. The project (which is was out of service for from November 2008 through at least 2010) appeared to embellish a reoccurring malfunction in it's malfunction state. I was fortunate to have gotten to hear the original results of this auditory renovation in December 2011 and the bass pulsating (between 16:06 and 16:20) in this song was 10 times as loud as it is here (enough bass to rattle the room when it played that part creating a unique multi-sensory experience). I'm curious if you got that experience with it when you filmed this in 2015 (when it wasn't even at it's full volume anymore from the malfunction being somewhat fixed since 2011)? It in the extreme malfunctioning state as heard in December 2011 does not exist online at present (yours is the closest I've found to that 2011 performance of the machine playing this song) although I do have a video of it playing "Poet & Peasant Overture" in the same embellished malfunctioning manner from that visit. I be quite honest, I have been searching for it playing this version for a while now finally to have uncovered this with help of a member from the House on the Rock Music Machine Facebook Group)!
@SomethingToDo3 жыл бұрын
Hello Sam, Thank you for watching and for taking the time to leave such an informational comment. This was from our first of only two visits to the House on the Rock. Our second trip was in October of 2017. I grew up in Northwest Indiana and had always heard of the place but didn't go until I was an adult. On the 2015 visit, I recorded mostly video but still took around 200ish pictures. Unfortunately, on the trip in 2017, I didn't take any video but did manage to take over 700 pictures. We now live in Florida but talk about going back when we are back in Indiana visiting family. My mom actually just went there this past weekend for the very first time. "I'm curious if you got that experience with it when you filmed this in 2015 (when it wasn't even at it's full volume anymore from the malfunction being somewhat fixed since 2011)?" - To be honest, I really can't remember for sure. I vaguely remember feeling the music in some of the rooms and this may have been one of them. If you or anyone in the Facebook group are interested in the pictures from my 2015 and 2017 visits, the links are below. 2015 visit flic.kr/s/aHskekwUwc 2017 visit flic.kr/s/aHskqbfu8W I also have the original video clips for this video that have not been edited to brighten the video up. They are much darker but not as grainy and may have a few extra seconds per clip on them. I would be willing to share them or even just upload the un-edited versions and put them into their own playlist.
