I was a bit worried with a large number of fake reviews but I am very pleased with the results. Bit of background, kzbin.infoUgkxmKn8dCAXovWn8_cLYoosGLVrVrpwlIMc I need to split approximately 1.5 cords of wood and didn't feel like destroying my back. I purchased this anticipating to have a few issues splitting wood but have only come across a few logs of elm where the stringy nature of elm made it more difficult to split. Overall its not a necessarily fast process but it also isn't a very arduous one either. I came and went fairly often to do different tasks but once I stayed and got into a system I could easily split my pieces in a fairly timely manner.

Looked like you need a stop, so when you jam it in the receiver the pin hole is auto lined up. I recently did something similar, for a snowbike that weighs 270 pounds. Having a flat bed and some 3" sq tube, I made in effect a vertical receiver that plugs into the regular receiver, the 3" bears on/plugs into that, and then at the edge of the bed I welded in a captured 1/2" nut, for a bolt that goes thru the 3". A scrap piece of pipe that happened to fit inside the 3" square tube with little slop is my cross arm, with the hand winch welded onto it. Not as sanitary looking as your set but equally effective! I need to do a video on it....

Great design. Well done. Have you considered one of the Harbor Freight-level electric winches as a replacement for the crank winch?

That's pretty good but I wonder if it's sketchy to use like when it's turned 90 degrees I'd think some legs or at least 1 would be preferable although it didn't appear to move much picking up that blower those aren't very light I mean what else would you really want it for. That's exactly why I searched this video I want to put my blower in my truck to. I'll be using a remote winch tho.

Good job, can i give you a tip, stand on the tray to winch it would be much easier than reaching up to do the winding. That is if it isn't part of your daily work out routine

I was there with you on this one. I was a Zoomie, so that's probably me you are looking at in Sea King 411, unless i was in the Howdah doing the hauldown. That was quite a trip. I think we were in St. Vincent for their Independence celebration if I'm not mistaken. An we put into St. Lucia too, if I remember correctly.

I havent really seen the cable get attached like that, down to a pull at the load then back up to the crane, does that double the lifting? make it twice as slow I'd assume have you compared with and without?

All the types of ships I was on but different ones --- St. Laurent (just before he disposal) Iroquois (also pre-TRUMP like Huron) and Protecteur (when she was fresh out of the shipyard). The 3 inch-50s on the bows of those two AORS are hilarious. That was to get them a special rate on the Panama Canal and to shoot down seal gulls if they flew straight and level.

Excellent, the only thing I would do different is a 12 volt ATV winch instead of the hand crank. Great job though dude... I love that head light on the blower too :)
@paulmonk78203 жыл бұрын
Is there a way to fix the crank so that it winds the other way? It would be way less tiring on your hand and arm. Also, it would be so much easier on you if you would shorten it to no more than shoulder high. You really don't need it to be that tall. Whatever height you need should be obtained by the boom length.
