I’m retired. Before COVID I met up with people my age at the local sports centre every day, keeping fit and enjoying a coffee afterwards. All those connections were broken by the pandemic, most of those people never returned and gradually the classes have been axed. I miss it.

I lost my job during Covid. My friends totally stepped up and I got closer to them than ever. I entertained more than I ever have - I loved it! I loved them. I always will. But I had to move two hours away for a new job and I really miss being able to have those friends over often. But when I get back, those friends are always glad to get together. And I’m starting to make friends in my new place.

When you talk about traditional families, and "traditional family values" people often overlook the evils that people perpetrated in order to appear like a normal family. A well known example, Nancy and Ronald Reagan, and Reagan's son from his first marriage. When Nancy Reagan married Ronald, she had no interest in having a blended family, because it was not seen as normal, and she was so concerned about her image, and how she would be perceived, that she wickedly made Ronald Reagan isolate and send his young son away. A boy, I should remind you, who absolutely adored his father, and had grown very emotionally attached. Ronald's oldest child, from his first marriage was raised away from the rest of the family, often by employees of the household, who were acting as sort of a foster family, and it took a great tole. That Ronald Reagan went along with this shows, can only be explained by saying he was weak and a complete failure as a father to his first child, and should have stood up to his Nancy. Hell, he should have thrown her out on her spoiled ass for even suggesting it, but that is not how the world worked then. These same people, Nancy and Ronald Reagan, then went on to tell the rest of us what kind of families they thought it was acceptable for us to have, in the 1980s, and there is no reason we should ever consider their words as nothing but the excuses of people who completely failed at being parents.

RR was giving a commencement speech at a Arizona boys school, and sa he finished 5 or 6 ot the teenagers gathered and Raygun asked each in turn what are you doing over the summer, he asked the last and Michael Davis blanched and said "I thought I was coming to LA with you and mom..." The Antichrist did not recognize his own son.

The BBC have a nerve going after a Oasis (I’m not a fan) a year after they cancelled their Roisin Murphy day to promote her new album & tour, just because some cross dressing men and their weird, middle class, predominantly white (Billy Bragg) lunatic supporters deemed her transphobic…thankfully it only alerted the general public who were unaware this crap had been happening for years, and subsequently she had a her most successful year ever #lgbwithouttq

It was packed with people, and everyone was dancing and singing along. The crowd went crazy when they performed Born to run! It was a really fun night that I will always remember!
