I used to have a VCUG done when I was a child because I have bad kidneys. And I actually retain about 30ml sometimes. VCUG's aren't something to be afraid of if you are a urology patient.

my urethra is not 2cm thick. It is more like 1/10th of that. By the way, why not give anesthesia? I wouldn't want to even see that thing from 10 meters ago. Let alone feel it. I'm likely to panic and destroy the ceiling and the floor in the process.

Is there any possibility that liquid solution used in rgu enters into testice instead of enter into urinary bladder if it is enter into testice is there any damage to testice
@indianaradiologyeducationb2345 жыл бұрын
Contrast passing into the testicle is unlikely. If there was a severe urethral and scrotal injury, the contrast could enter the scrotum around the testicles. This is very uncommon. It would not damage the testicles or scrotum. Thanks

Surely you do not allow a female radiology tech to do this to a man. This is sexual abuse if they do and dont have male techs for this procedure. Men need to stand up against women doing private area procedures on them. Enough is enough.
@shahirmonsuruddin65556 жыл бұрын
These procedures do involve genitalia, but they are not intended to be sexual in nature. Sexual assault is not determined by female-to-male contact as it can be perpetrated by anyone regardless of sex or gender. What is ultimately important is the consent of the patient in mind. If that is violated, then the perpetrator is guilty of committing assault and battery.
@sj5056 жыл бұрын
Shahir Monsuruddin So if the patient does not want a tech of opposite gender and asks for a same gender tech it is in all actuality sexual abuse. My thing is many men do not seek treatment because they feel as violated as women would if they were forced to have a male mammography tech. But, men who say how they feel are ridiculed so they either do not go to get medical help or suffer in silence.
@shahirmonsuruddin65556 жыл бұрын
"My thing is many men do not seek treatment because they feel as violated as women would if they were forced to have a male mammography tech." Any evidence to support that? I'm genuinely curious about this topic and would like to learn more. As far as I know, many men don't seek treatment or health maintenance with physicians because a) they're busy with work and don't want to ask for time off; and b) we're conditioned to tough it out. There are many other factors, but a and b definitely apply to me, to be perfectly honest. But I'm always open to expand my knowledge.
@sj5056 жыл бұрын
Shahir Monsuruddin A couple of places you might are Dr Maurice Bernsteins Bioethics site about this. He has been discussing for many years now. Issue not going away. Also Dr Joel Sherman and Doug Capps have had discussions on male modesty. Another site Medical patient modesty. Hope you find some reading you find interesting. If you find typo errors, I just had eye surgery and can't see well.
@vu82006 жыл бұрын
The answer to your question is that we as techs are very aware of how are patients feel when having procedures in the genatilla area, so in most radiological departments a male tech is assigned to assist the radiologist as would a female tech for a female PATIENTS, however if this were late at night (AFTERHOURS) and by chance there was a shortage of male/female techs available than a nurse or CNA of the same sex X the patient would be asked to be A chaperone during the procedure. The patient at anyti e during the procedure can request it to be stopped if they should feel uncomfortable. We as techs take our jobs very serious and while there are a small few bad seeds as in any profession the majority are very ethical and care very highly about patient rights
