Enjoyed your reaction and analysis, as usual. This one threw me off the first time I heard it because I didn't notice it was a cover of the Disturbed version & had never heard their version either. Both original & this version are great, though. Once I realized this was a different style of the classic, I replayed it & enjoyed it. Dan did a great cover. Thanks, Daniel. 😊

Thanks for your reaction and analysis of this - it's always interesting to hear how you would interpret the song. Thankyou also for explaining the musical technicalities which gives a new layer of appreciation for the artist. I was brought up with the Simon and Garfunkel version which I enjoy but now I usually listen to Dan's because I like the power and the grit! 😊😊😊

This may not be saying much, but to me it sounds like perfectly good English, in fact, they speak better English than myself, and it’s the only language I know, especially when you come to realize it’s coming from a Group that are originally from Finland! Here’s a suggestion that you can take for what it’s worth, if your having such a problem with understanding their pronunciations, then maybe you need to get out more, and see & experience the rest of the world, and mingle with the people!

Appreciate your reaction , but wish you would not sing just after these amazing singers have performed. Makes you sound like you are 'showing off' and is 'unnecessary' to quote yourself. 'No offense intended.

No offense taken. I sing because singing makes me happy, and I will continue singing in my videos should I want to provide an example for something our just want to do it for personal enjoyment. =)

Loved watching your reaction to this one. ❤ The only thing that I wish you had commented on that I haven't noticed anybody else comment on either among the reactors is the beat boxing right at the end- it's a clicking sound that reminds me of the sounds of video games and pinball machines- the buttons that you click in playing those games. Just a lovely little detail that Layne added at the end of the video. But still a very very good reaction!

I feel like I say this every time I comment on a reaction video, but my favorite thing about a reaction is the things that I learn from the different reactors. Geoff's ending consonants in this song are gentle to the point that I didn't even notice them until you pointed them out. And I've lost track of how many times I've listened to this song either straight through on its own from their site or listening to different people react. And yet still this is something that I had not noticed before. I'm sure there are other things that you pointed out that I hadn't noticed, but that's the one thing that sticks out to me right now. Voiceplay always makes it look so easy, don't they? But as you said, they are masters of their craft.

Geoff got his inspiration for this version of the song from Clamavi De Profundus. They are a chorus of gentlemen that are mostly bass and baritone singers. They sing mostly these types of songs (dwarven/middle earth). But also various others as well. They are absolutely amazing. I have several of their songs on my playlist. The Last Goodbye, When The Hammer Falls, Diggy Diggy Hole, and this are a few of my favorites.

Mate your face expressions and hand gestures are synced with mine at the end of the song, it's wild😂 I also wanted more of the last belt and found it at their show in Argentina, go check it out.

Voiceplay is releasing their new today Friday the 27th..... Be Prepared. Geoff makes a fantastic Scar. It is really really good.

It’s pretty cliche to say a person is “born” to do something. Most people aren’t that lucky. When Floor was born, her genetics and the ability to drop her jaw like that gave her two options. Either join a carnival as a side act swallowing apples whole… or sing. We’re glad she chose the latter.

Thanks! Dude! Your reaction and emotion while listening to this song were so genuine and heartfelt that I forgive you for (what I think is) the mandatory homework of researching the performer's genre and style. 'Like' from me. And I’m growing more fond of one person’s comment about this song: if they don’t play it at my funeral, I’m not coming. (Male, 52yo)

This is a genuinely amazing song, and you don't need to really have a strong sense of what the story in it is, you just *feel* it in your bones as you listen. Raw. Gritty. Messy. Everything that good Bluegrass should be.

I'm afraid I'm spoiled by Floor Jansen and Henk Port on this one. It's not about the singing but the massive expressiveness and connection between them. Pretty much everyone else seems a but flaccid by comparison.

Expertise, personality, enthusiasm, and a regular update schedule, recipe for success! I’d love to see you go down the barbershop rabbit hole. Great harmonies, breath control, humor, and insane tags. A good place to start is Notre Dame Medley by The Ringmasters. Love the content!

I don't understand why opera singers 'analyse' this or any other Nightwish song as if it's an operatic concert. Turunen has lengthy operatic training; Hietala has none that I know of. But it isn't La Scala. It's a rock concert.
