Ist schon wunderbar wie dieser sonst wilde Vogel auf einmal lammfromm wird...und seine Prioritäten nur noch auf den Horstbau und den Pseudopartner konzentriert....wer schon einmal einen Habicht in Jagdkondition erlebt hat würde das jetzt gezeigte so nie glauben....

Würde mich einmal interessieren wenn man einen Mitteleuropäer mit einem Albidus paart wie die Nachkommen ausschauen? Erstaunlich ist die Gefiederverfärbung gegenüber dem Mitteleuropäer, ähnlich den auch da vorkommenden Falken, Gerfalke etc., das Sie massiv ins weiße tendiert. Ob das was mit den langen Schneephasen zu tun hat? In jeden Fall ein wunderschöner Vogel der ein ausgeprägtes Imprintingverhalten zeigt....interessant auch die Fehlprägung irgendwann auf den Menschen...der dann, wie in diesem Fall, angebalzt und als Geschlechtspartner, angesehen wird....

Ich sehe hier mehrere Beizvögel auf div. Sitzgelegenheiten aufgeblockt....im Frühjahr bei schönen Wetter kann man auch balzende Habichte schweimen sehen und wie der Terzel dann das Weib im Girlanden Flug, ähnlich einem Wildtauber, imponieren will....je mehr sich dich Balz dem Höhepunkt nähert desto ruffreudiger sind Habichte und auch die Bruckbefiederung wird immer mehr als Signal eingesetzt, auch um den Partner zu beschwichtigen, denn Weiber schlagen schon mal einen Terzel und töten Ihn....der sonst so heimliche Habicht ist in dieser Zeit vollkommen aus dem Häuschen und zum Teil sehr ruffreudig....unglaublich ist auch das man diese, doch nicht kleinen Vögel, sonst überhaupt nicht sieht und wenn dann auch nur schehmenhaft.....es ist halt ein unglaublicher Beutegreifer von unglaublicher Schönheit und Präsenz....

Hallo Felicitass, Keeping birds of prey for offspring, why? It is primarily used for the preservation of the species. The peregrine falcon had been exterminated in the 1950s. In Germany alone, it is thanks to the falconers that the population is currently secured again. Prof. Christian Saar (falconer and bird of prey breeder) has been awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for breeding and releasing 1000 peregrine falcons into the wild.
