@stevejackson3996 I'm fairly new to TS but are you able to contact a user that made an offer on one of your moments, if you're not satisfied with the amount of their offer to see if you're able to come to an agreement on making a deal?

Don't let Bird fool ya, he had a photographic memory, I bet he knew every word that was said on that Hawks bench. How do I know this? Because after that Utah game where he almost got a quadruple double a reporter asked him why didn't you stay in to get another steal? 10:42 Bird said "I did enough damage already"

Today’s players are immensely skilled, but I was more invested in the version of basketball played by Larry, Magic, etc. than I am now.

Great interview on Larry's part - it would have been so much better to be able to hear the questions.

I was a Pistons fan. Celtics seemed invincible in the 80s. Chief, Frankenstein, and Old Gluefingers set up by Dennis Johnson. Hate is a strong word but it fits. It has evolved into respect. Those guys were awful good on their worst day and amazing on the normal days.

Fortunate to have been born in 1966. Living in Cincinnati all my life. I got to see The Big Red Machine along with countless great sports moments. Having said that, watching Larry and those Celtic teams were the highlight of my sports week. Thanks Larry, many of us will never forget you or those teams. I know I won't.

Look, if you listen to this interview and don’t get why he is among the few real legends of the game, we don’t need to converse. I’m a diehard Laker fan, full blooded Magic and Kobe, who hates the Green with passion. Bird was THE enemy. Yet he is easily a member of any all time team I pick. No debate, no question. Give me Magic and Bird in their prime, not sure any other team could win.

He could not jump high, orherwise he would have been the GOAT. Only 0.9 bpg. Not bad but not great. Still, my GOAT.

I went to Larry's first basketball camp in 1981 in West Baden ,IN. My mom used the play tennis with his wife , and I once went to his house to look at a 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT he was selling ... 😛👍. It was a privilege to be able to meet him !

I grew up a Cincinnati Royals fan and thought the big "O" was the greatest player ever. I moved to Indiana in '74 after serving in the Navy. In the spring of '75 I was selected to play on an AAU team and was a starting forward opposite an 18 year old Larry Bird. He was very quiet, not saying much as I found out later that he recently had lost his father but he led us to the championship. What he accomplished in the NBA was phenomenal but now it's a tough choice on whom of the two is the greatest ever.

Bird didn't need the ball to dominate. You want him to have the ball, but he is arguably the best off the ball player ever. His passing, rebounding, setting picks, defending passing lanes, etc, were all elite. To be so dominant without being fast or freakishly athletic is a testament to his understanding of the game, unbelievable skill, and sheer will.

To watch... Bird was the best ever. Jordan came later.
