Flight from Athens to Kithira in June is booked - praying pandemic is down to a dull roar by then so I can go!! Do you recommend staying in different parts of the island or having one base and do day trips? I keep watching this over and over again!

Hi, in which period of the year you travelled through Kytyra? We passed by Kytyra on ferry boat from Kalamata to Kissamos in august 2011.... long time ago!

What do those names of the beaches mean? Like here: 1:39 It was supposed they are names of the beaches, but Google maps don`t find such names, neither two words written together, nor "Krovoulia" separately. Would like to find these beaches on the maps, please, help.

Try to KZbin the song from the video under the names "Flight, Mesa Apo Sena, Pure Colors of Volissos, Ela Pare Me, Kyma, To Dixty, Sakainas" in conjunction with the artists Michalis Nikoloudis, Vangelis Maxairas. My parent's home. Have traced our family at least 7 generations on Ithaca with a connection to Venetian aristocracy - they controlled Ithaca for hundreds of years up to 1797.

The whole passage from 13:13 to 15:00 is from Kapsali. At 14:23 is the main beach under the tavernas.

Amazing. I am from Kefalonia and have watched dozens of videos of the exact places you have imaged. But the way you framed ALL the shots really brings out the true beauty of the island. It seems to me you are using the divine ratio, whether knowingly or instinctively. Thank you. If you are a professional photographer, bravo. If not, consider it.

Nice video . One correction though at 34:57 (title) . It is not Agios Myrtidion Monastery. It is the monastey of Myrtidia dedicated to the virgin Mary ( Panagia) . It is the most important monastery of Kythera .There is a big celebration on the 15th of August :)
