My first proper playthrough I've seen of this game was my cousin playing cop. I remember a disaster level where he had a bounty on his head, and he just went door to door basically saying "Hello, are you going to attack me unprovoked? Yes? Oh cool, you're under arrest."

IMO, combined with the l’etranger, it’s basically an upgrade to stock since you lose less than a second of cloak with this combo, you have a much easier time infiltrating the enemy since you’re not limited by a 10-14 second timer, and, fun fact, when you’re out of cloak with the C&D, you STILL get the damage resistance and the half debuff effect from the C&D. With that combined with the kunai which rewards me for being careful, I think that the C&D + l’etranger is probably the most powerful way of playing spy since this combo is good for basically EVERYTHING.

They really did everything possible to screw this character over. Down to the fact that he shouldnt even have this big quest, the Goon should.

i'm having trouble with assassin, this class is the opposite of easy. He is so weak that backstab doesn't do enough damage and i end up alerting everyone, and i can't use the weapons to ensure the kill because the durability is almost zero. Also the bodyguards make his big quest almost impossible. Camouflage cooldown is ridiculous to be cancelled by anything and cannot be used on front of any npc. Basically this character is only playable with perfect play, any mistake and you're dead.

First of all your special ability boost backstab damage to the point you'll instant kill almost anyone. Secondly You don't have to kill only the target you can kill everyone on the floor. This isn't the doctor killing to many isn't a thing here. If you need to back stab and run the body guards a few times so be it. And no any mistake your not dead unless you refuse to run away and/or stockpile healing items you'll be fine. At least in the earlier levels downtown and uptown are always unforgiving regardless of character.

I think that what makes the Black Box so appealing to players who don't main soldier isn't so much a fear of dying, but that it solves the problem Heavy faces as a power class. Uncle Dane talked recently about how Heavy's big advantage is his health, but unlike other classes' advantages no amount of skilled play will give you more health. Meanwhile, sure Black Box Soldier has his rocket jumping ability hindered, making it more difficult to play his pick style. But in turn, patient play makes him a power class where landing your shots rewards you with more health. Actual Soldier mains aren't going to call landing a direct a high skill play. But to a new player, or someone switching off their main, Black Box Soldier offers an alternative to Heavy for gameplay that dosen't feel too taxing, but actually rewards you for playing well.

@@An_IanThanks, I appreciate it. There's always a reason someone is using a weapon, and it's almost never to ruin your fun. Unless you did something to piss them off, heh. Something worth keeping in mind when considering motivation. KZbin served me up your channel a few months ago, and I clicked out of curiosity, but that game you were covering before didn't interest me. Not entirely sure why KZbin served it to me, never heard of it before. But now that you're covering a game I actually like? I'm not gonna fluff up your ego here, you're not an S tier KZbinr. Currently. But you've got potential. If you explode I look forward to telling people I found you before you did TF2 and your subscriber count was only 4 digits. And if don't, well hey I'm happy to have the equivalent of an underground indy band no one's heard of. Hehe. Keep it up, man. You've got some talent.

Exactly this. Using the black box makes me feel like an actual frontline power class. I get heavily punished for missing my shots but when I land the blows I can tank a lot of damage.

Do you have any guide about the mechanics of the game? Sometimes i gas a building by hacking, and when they get out and see me, they are friendly. But sometimes I use a pill in the ventilation and they know its me as soon as they see me.

Thank you for all the awsome SoR videos. I've rage-uninstalled this game so many times. But after watching your content I decided to give it a try for the 69th time and I finally completed a run. 1 win with soldier and 1 win with doctor so far. Many will follow. Secretly hoping you're still gonna do a vid about items and/or traits. ;)
