this is richard burns rally and the particular plugin here is rallysimfans (hungarian plugin) rallysimfans.hu/rbr/index.php there are other plugins such as czech and french but imo this is the best

It's a sim, steering wheel is the way to go. You can download the original game from abandonedware but that will be original physics. You've got next generation physics which take it to a whole new level. You can download from somewhere like rallysimfans, Hungarian plugin. You'll get the base game, updated physics, loads of cars and tracks. It does take up a fair bit of space like that but nothing a reasonably modern pc can't handle. Well worth it imo, really good fun and you can run by yourself, hotlaps etc or take part in rallies online

Thanks for the really kind comments. I found with RWD cars in RBR the physics don't seem quite right, but it's been a while so I might give it a go.

@@dbwrc car settings help somewhat. but it's still difficult with rear-wheel drive. sometime, if you feel comfortable, try it, but it's not necessary, it was a suggestion that would be interesting

To change it. Right click on your screen and on the top colum when it says 'Rbr.ini' change it to numeric.ini

Pace notes are a personal thing. If you prefer numeric 1-6, if that's what works for, that's cool. Some guys use 1-7 or 1-10. Sometimes 1 is the slowest corner, sometimes it's the fastest. You just got to find what works best for you. I believe the Sebs used a numeric system where they called the angle of the corner. For myself, I've been hearing the descriptive calls for so long, when I hear numbers, it doesn't always register.

@dbwrc And to add on to that is that there are so many different variations of how drivers like their notes. Richard Burns likes them nice and early like myself, whilst others like Solberg have them very late. RBR masterclass (roadbook) is your best friend

Good question. Particles are on. I've noticed in other external shot replays for this track there is no dust, although Rally Guru's preview has it. I've got dust trails on other replays, so I don't know what happened there.

Got to be honest mate, I didn't notice. It is a beautiful stage.

Didnt try this stage by myself yet but i can tell on other stages you can feel them, especially deep skidmarks are hard to deal with!

actually, this game was released for PS2

Game was made for PS2 and PS3. With mods, this is still the best rally simulation out there at the moment.

What do you expect from a 20 year old game and graphics engine. But considering the amount of work the RSF modding team and put into this title. Rbr has no competition in terms of damage model, Physics, and just the way the SIM feels. Id take all of that over unreal engine whatever.

Thanks. I'm really grateful that someone has put the work in so that we can enjoy some of the really great stages of the world, and that last little sequence, so tempting to charge it but you got to really control that urge ;-)

The view is so people can see the excellent work done in creating such a fantastic and iconic stage. If you don't like it, don't watch.

its in game.huds and times and all but hey it doesnt bothering me its just sad when people use that view or chase view and pretend to be rally driver .@@jendabekCZ

I don't know if this'll be on RSF, that's up to the guys there. They have to look at a lot of things to make sure that the stage will work well for everybody, VR etc. etc. Thanks for the kind comments.
