My uncle mike mc hugh was in construction but spent years in NY playing the accordion at gigs at night. He was a natural. I regret not paying more attention, his mother and father also played the accordion, my grandparents. So john with your help I'll give it a go. 👍

A beautiful accordion, but it sounds ugly. Maybe it's the built in mic.

Hi, I just purchased an older 21 button Hohner Erica; I think G/C. I have no clue how to play but just want to root up old traditional music I grew up with. So this first hit is a great start for me. I need to order a shoulder strap and a bellow strap is missing too. I just subscribed to your channel to help get started. I think I have my work cut out for me. Thanks for the tips so far. Once I get the basics down I'll look for some lessons I figure. Thanks.

Hy John, i need your help to decide what accordion buy. I playing irish since some year and i want to buy a Soprani, but i'm not decided if BC or C#D. I generally play tunes in D using C#D accordion. With that i feel better and easier to play in that tune, but i know that many use BC for a D tune. BC seems more widespread. For example Fermoy Lasses i play with both, but Harvest Home only with C#D. I have both accordions, my purchase is aimed only to get a better instrument. Thanks for your videos, your sympathy and talent.
