Let's see here. you could build 9 Shermans for the cost and shoot 9 rounds in 35 secs...tic tic, still doing the math....tic tic. Means 9 dead dead Shermans in under a minute. BTW, with absolutely NO WAY the Shermans could nothing but run. It would also cost the lives of 45 men. Thank God the war was over. If this tank was in full production the year before- the English would be eating sauerkraut.

German armoured vehicles in WW2 were DECADES ahead of the rest of the world, in technology, the cockpit and controls design and the Carl Zeiss optics for the guns. The Magnificaton of these, couopled with the mighty 88mm - made it possible to kill another allied tank so far away from it that they couldnt be seen! Imagine lying in a foxhole in the Ardennes at night hearing the squeaking and roaring of THESE coming towards your position. Truly terrifying. The achilles heel of the King Tiger was its fuel consumption at 2 MPG! In the battle of the bulge the Germans RAN OUT of petrol (yes PETROL which was easy to make in 1942) losing the battle.

One of the most beautiful machines made to a very ugly purpose, war, my opinion is that the Tiger II like the Me 262 were very good for their time, but they couldn't do miracles, yet, both were iconic landmarks of mankind's amazing engineering.

In my village a collector of Military vehicles lives. He has enough Money to buy each Ferrari or Lambo, but he drives a MB Wolf, he has an MB Unimog from the Bundeswehr, I also have seen the M.A.N Elefant at his garage. If I remember correctly, he has the Schwimmwagen of the Wehrmacht, then a small halftrack with motorcyle in front and a few other vehicles, which I couldn‘t Identify in the darkness of his garage. My dream is to own a MB truck or Opel Blitz from the Wehrmacht one day
