Where do you get the textured paper you are using.

Is there a decent size market for mandrels such as that? I’ve got a big industrial lathe, mill, welders, etc and that’s looks easy enough to make and sell at a reasonable price!

is that marked with sizes? looks like a great tool
@metaldesignzcanada Жыл бұрын
No - it's not -- I only use it for shaping and hammering - My other mandrel is for sizing!
Wow!! That's pretty cool!! We're setting up our workroom at the moment as well so I know exactly how you feel lol

What is your cutter called?
@metaldesignzcanada3 жыл бұрын
The Cutter at the beginning of the video is called a Guillotine Shear - It's made by Pepetools. It's a great tool but it's really expensive. I also have a couple of bench shears that are around $100... they curl the metal when they cut, but it's easy enough to flatten!

thank you so much... AND I also have a torn rotator cuff. I have recently discovered CBD ointment and it is helping. I put it on at night AND I have a large pillow that I sorta 'hug' while in bed. This relieves the pressure of gravity...holding the shoulder up. Just sharing . Thanks again for your great instructions <3

What type of laser printer would I need for this? Would a Cricut work? :) And do you use card stock, for deeper impressions? I assume you’re selling this? Thank you.
@shelleyhubbs35634 жыл бұрын
Yes we sell our laser paper at www.metaldesignz.com We use a C02 laser to cut the paper. Cricuts are a PAIN to pick out all the little bits and pieces... Thanks!

When you cut that Shelley are the edges Sharp
@metaldesignzcanada4 жыл бұрын
Yes a little... you always file the edge nice and smooth. This cutter works better than ths cheap cutters!
It's hard to measure... the calipers squish it but it's a couple mm thick. I get it from a bead wholesaler... and offer it on our website. It's better than the foam I tried from hobby lobby or Michaels or amazon. Its inexpensive and help the paper work better!!

@metaldesignzcanada5 жыл бұрын
I refuse the paper if it isnt crushed. I use new foam every roll.. it's super cheap and helps the metal take a deep impression! The drawers are IKEA!
