Reading this thread, I see there are many that think that being nice makes an attempt of violating rights justified. To be clear, some officers TRY to use intimidation tactics and using laws that don’t apply, in order to do Planned Parenthood’s bidding. We are lovingly correcting his attempt. He was very insistent on us not being there because we were loitering. He compared this to the homeless on the street blocking and sleeping on sidewalks. He was not only corrected by us, but also corrected by the Police Department. It was a “nice” interaction, but he was wrong. Why be upset with our interaction? Instead, be upset that babies are dying inside while a police officer is worried about a wrongfully used loitering law.

You make some strong points and articulate your message well. Good cause you support. It is my hope that the scolding the officer received solved the problem experienced in this video. My concern is that the problem will persist. A stronger sign of correction would be if they informed the folks who reported these gentlemen that they were within their legal rights and no ordinance had been violated. Did that happen? I don't know. Some police departments are required to respond to every call. I don't know if that's the case there. If the callers are not informed and told to stop calling about it, they will keep calling.

The problem isn't the people messaging on this forum. The problem is there are two opposing sides about a sensitive and divisive issue, and the peacemakers are lacking follow through. Unless the peacemakers have also addressed the outcome, a scolding for the responding officer, with the people who continue to report a problem. A clear decision needs to be established by local law enforcement. Then, the reporting party can be educated or the party that is ticketed may contest and defend their rights in court. Please correct me if I'm missing any information. It appears the peacemakers have elected to avoid resolution and be neutral. They temporarily pacified the situation. Did every officer in the precinct receive clarification about this? This may require legal mediation if they honestly expect resolution or change to occur.

To call this officer a bully is wrong and click bait. Get back to your street preaching videos. Not a fan these days.

"He (Jesus) is expiation for our sins, and not for ours only but for those of the whole world (unlimited atonement)." 1 John 2: 2. "Anyone who does not remain in me will be thrown out like a branch and wither; people will gather them and throw them into a fire and they will be burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.... If you KEEP my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and remain in his love (conditional eternal security)." John 15: 6-7, 10. Oops! I guess John Calvin overlooked parts of the Bible after all! 🤣🤣🤣 P.S. Calvinism is a very small sect of Protestantism and an even smaller sub-section of Christendom globally. "What then shall we say? Shall we persist in sin that grace may abound? Of course not! Or are you unaware that we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were indeed buried with him through BAPTISM into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might live in newness of life." Romans 6: 1-4.

I think this came up on my feed because I clicked on one of Travis’s videos last week. I am an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am 67 years old and have served in the church in various capacities all my life. I have a few close friends that are evangelicals. Very good people. We team rope, golf and go to lunch together. If they were out publicly trying to diminish or discredit my faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement, I wouldn’t be to happy with them. Yet if I used Travis’ tactics of bullying, arrogance and self gratification I wouldn’t be happy with myself. I think all should realize that there is strength in teaching the Saviors’ way, with humility and meekness. The spirit will testify of the truth. No one is uplifted by talking over each other. My friends may not always agree with me, but we respect and understand each other. My friends can’t really see me going to hell after this life just because I believe the LDS faith and I can’t see them going to hell either. Please everyone, follow the two great commandments,love God and love your neighbor as yourself. We’ll go a lot further together. Dale

What a clickbait false title. I applaud that cop for dealing with a difficult situation very well. To call this cop a “bully” is ridiculous… you can do better.
@apologiautah8 сағат бұрын
With respect, he is a bully. He was trying to enforce a law; that isn't a law. The Police Commander has reprimanded this individual. His duty is to uphold the law; not to try and bully us into obeying merely his verbal commands without any justification from the law. Saying you need to move off of the sidewalk because I say so, isn't the proper enforcement of the law, that is indeed bullying. We have every right to be there on the public sidewalk.
@Liberty4AllGVT5 сағат бұрын
@@apologiautahWas the entire precinct(s) alerted to and made aware of this reprimand? What I'm asking is: is the reprimand official? Or did they just laugh it off after you left? It matters if you want it to mean anything.
@Liberty4AllGVT5 сағат бұрын
@@apologiautah An official reprimand is documented in the officer's personal file. When all officers are alerted to the official reprimand, that is recorded in the precinct's database. If the first or the latter are not documented, it's not official, and you may still experience a problem in the future.

If your rights are being violated, hire a lawyer. If something is unconstitutional, you should have no problems winning a case. If you're exaggerating about your rights being violated, for the sake of being stubborn and argumentative, do not hire a lawyer. A good cause you support. I've seen this cause supported in many ways. I think you guys just like to argue with people.
@apologiautahКүн бұрын
With respect, your comments are generally pretty wise. However, the laws the officer was trying to enforce were not applicable to the situation. He was "commanding us" to leave the sidewalk when we were following the law. These police officers have been doing this for months. We have since spoken with the police commander and the following police officer was scolded for his behavior. "Like to argue" is incorrect in your assumption we are merely standing up for ourselves and for proper enforcement of the law.
@Liberty4AllGVTКүн бұрын
@apologiautah Thank you for your reply. You have every right to stand up for yourself. I enjoy it when people do. Hopefully, that scolding solved the problem. Time will tell, right? I do think it's an obvious observation that you are argumentative by nature and Creed. What I say about you is also true about myself. Speaking with the chief/commander seemingly made progress. Why engage with the officer about it? You have greater legal standing if you were forced to be removed from what is your legal right. Record and document every time. Perhaps the problem is already solved.

The real question is, were the people who voted the books of the Bible into the canon of scripture inspired? What is the criteria of something being inspired? When is something no longer God’s word?
@joelquaintance90254 күн бұрын
I wholeheartedly agree, that “inspired” does not mean “dictated” or the equivalent. Obviously, Erhman would not agree. But, what is equally absurd, is that you: Dr. White believe in The Doctrine Of The Trinity: an idiotic, illogical, non-scriptural falsehood. You totally misunderstand and twist whatever verse necessary in Beriyth haChadasha to align with lies so as to create an illusion which deceives the unlearned to their detriment robbing them of forgiveness and reconciliation to YHVH: The Creator And The Ruler Of The Universe. Yehowshuwa ben Yowseph & Miriam our Mashiyach: a man who will return someday as The Son Of David to be HaMashiyach never taught or suggested that he was divine in any way. If he would have, that would have been known far and wide and there would not have been a need to find false accusers AND YOU KNOW THIS. No one except the liars teach and the ignorant believe that Yehowshuwa is The Second Person Of The Eternal, Immortal, Invisible YHVH: Creator Of The Universe and that The Roman Army executed YHVH: The Eternal, Immortal, Invisible YHVH: Creator Of The Universe. STOP THE LIES, REPENT, ASK FOR FORGIVENESS, AND CHANGE.

Lot’s wife turning into ‘’a pillar of salt’’ is speaking figuratively of her being destroyed by the fire and brimstone that fell from the sky and fell on her while she continuously gazed upon Sodom. Archaeology has confirmed that area by the Dead Sea where those cities were located is filled with brimstone and indeed the Dead Sea itself is also called the Salt Sea because of it’s high mineral content all of which may have originated from the judgment that came upon those wicked cities and the judgment may have come in the form of multiple small meteors that rained down upon them and left behind the evidence of the brimstone and the high mineral content in the Dead Sea

Wow. Mormons like CS Lewis, but don’t understand (anything, really) that Lewis would eat them for breakfast. He would be horrified that his explanation of actual Christianity was being twisted to be used by polytheistic polygamists. Well. Now one can see how the gnostics twisted the New Testament to fit their versions of weirdness even in the first century. Maybe the Christian would like to bring up the “book of Abraham “ for a complete meltdown.

We know that White people did not want to live with Black people. After the Brown vs the Board of Education decision White people moved away and started their own suburbs. They built Christian schools that charged tuitions that Black people could not afford. They red lined Black people from buying homes in the neighborhoods, and gave traffic tickets when they drove in the neighborhoods. We see with Donald Trump that the church forbade Black churches from teaching Black history and Critical Race Theory. We see that Donald Trump removed Affirmative Action. We see your lies.

LDS members are becoming better defending the true faith and this is upsetting the Creedist Christians that they have to start to defend their Trinity with scattered verses throughout the Bible and cannot find one verse or one author of the bible explaining it in simple terms. As the trinity is so important to salvation, they cannot seem to defend it. Time to start asking them questions about the trinity, sola scriptura, the creeds, the end of public revelation, and more.

As a lifetime LDS as a Mormon I used to work as a personal badge of excellence to the heads of the church and “then” God would hopefully accept me as I tried to prove physically, mentally & morally up to “his” program here on earth. Mormons will never accept “his yoke is easy & his burden is light.” Then comes the masonry element! Argh!!!! I just want to love Jesus, and serve humanity in love. Not handshakes and words to speak in a cultish ceremony to get to Jesus. This man has a testimony of goodness and warm feelings of family, and a life style that seems set apart from the world which makes him believe that the entire enchilada is truth. It’s all based on feelings upon personal excellence within this life and nothing more.
