One of the things I discovered in golf is many people think they need a regular because they swing slower what you will find is some regular shafts just to not square at impact very well you end up leaving the club behind and open and it depends on your swing. The better golfer you are. You can pretty much use anything. I'm not particularly the fastest swinger in the world. I think I sit at about 98. Maybe 100 on a good day but I play stiff in everything and it keeps the ball in play when I went to regular which actually I was fitted for I was spraying it all over the pl. It was either a push right or it was a duck hook. Now that could've been down to some swings absolutely but I found that swing speed and flex. Is one of the most misunderstood things?

I sharpen my irons, at least all of my wedges, 9, 8 & 7 irons, about 3 or 4 times per year, depending upon how much playing and practice I do. It is especially noticeable on short shots, 50yrds or less. Yes, it definitely makes a difference !!! .. I can tell when my grooves are getting dull when pitching and chipping, it does make a big difference around the greens. As for being "illegal", no it is not, not as long as the grooves still conform to USGA specs (which they probably will since you are not removing much material at all), and I doubt any of you are going to be investigated by the groove police. Give me a break. Nobody is caring about your grooves. Unless you are playing on tour, I really don't think you should worry about non-conforming grooves. And if you are playing on tour, you are changing out your wedges every few tournaments anyway.

'Straighter' would mean less side-spin (not towards the target) - 'Longer' was shown, but maybe somewhat diminished by less backspin - Note that you hit the ball relatively straight compared to a lot of us - Your 'grease' hits were virtually all hit to the left, which is not a grease thing, but appears as an alignment adjustment needed when using grease.

Just concentrate on one thing first. I line my feet up comfortable n mainly focus on grip n hand feeling in my swing. I literally have to feel like I'm turning my hands 180° in my swing. I can get a nice draw. I'm not a big hitter but I'm consistent at about 200 yards!

The real art is knowing when to go for it and when and how to ease off. If you played those holes over and over with the 6i strategy you would struggle to score better than 1 over just because the last hole effectively becomes a par 5. If instead of blasting driver with a potential right miss you eased back to a 5wood or 2 iron you'd rarely score bogey on either of the 2 holes you lost balls on.
@thatgolfgrind19 күн бұрын
