Okay so i have my BQ License “Beer,wine & malt beverage” I want to sell daiquiris but what malt liquor or wine can i use to make them? Because Ive had other people’s daiquiris and they’re strong , i bought malt liquor from “Toddy Blends” and they’re not strong . How can i go about that?

If I am retiring and closing the business, can I leave alcoholic beverages in the fridge after I’ve closed my business? For example: I’ve officially closed the business on a Monday. I’m in the process of moving everything out and might end up removing the beer from the premises on Friday, after my business has officially been closed.

Thanks for doing a video from my question. I’m a 1600 ton captain.The vessels you discussed that have the passenger alcohol permit are nearly all between 60 and 400 tons, 65 to 140 feet long and require a captain with a 100 or 500 ton license and these vessels are USCG inspected. I would love to know the business that petitioned the wording. Texas has a robust charter and harbor/dolphin cruise industry. Most of which are less than 50 tons and 18 to 45 feet in length requiring a captain with a 6 passenger, a 50 ton or 100 ton license. Whatever person or collective that drafted the law allowed themselves to capitalize on the beverage income stream while blocking 99% of the competition. The question is how can we change the law or work around it? The current way is let passengers bring their own booze which makes no income. A few operators will provide set-ups IE Margaritas or Mai Tias & passengers bring tequila or rum but again your walking away from the lions share of profits from mixed drinks. I downloaded the Texas code but so far haven’t found a way to do it under the other provisions. Obviously figuring out a way to serve mixed drinks on you 35 foot harbor tour would give you a huge competitive advantage over competitors who haven’t figured a way. Are there ‘alcohol’ law lawyers that might be able to find a loophole? Regards, Capt. Kent

sounds like a law that needs to be abolished because those are stupid big boat requirements designed to keep small businesses out and ensure the large businesses have no competition.
