Legend has it he actually played the 97 Terrace game while sick with Malaria. Only came on when Nudgee knew they needed him, scored first touch, scored again won the game.

I was a massive League fan. So much so that when I went to Nudgee I refused to play Rugby. After watching the first two games played by this very 1st VX, I joined my U12 team the next Monday. My favourite NC 1st VX ever. That drop kick is legendary in my eyes.

Congratulations! Possibly their first outright premiership in 120 years of the GPS Rugby Premiership. Their only other premiership in 1954 was a four way tie, which included Nudgee. The only four-way tie in GPS Rugby in 120 years. Will the 2020 season be considered "official", considering each team missed 3 games or playing 1/3 of the competition??

Yes, this season is an official season. The 1st XV play a final round of fixtures (the original Round 1) next Friday, with the seven games constituting an official season. Byes are worth two points, to account for the fact some schools will or will not have a bye.

Ok great. They are a really good team this year. Its just a shame that both Premierships are under questioable circumstances. The 1954 Premiership was a four-way split with nearly half the competition. Assuming they win next week,2020 was a reduced competition with the first three trial games not counting. We will never really know how good they are, and if they could have gone through a full season undefeated.

@@lachlanmcmillan5743 we both know over the last 20 years champion and undefeated TSS and other teams have lost one of the final games to end up in a two or three way drew. Its a shame after all this and 120 years we will never know
