I love that blade shape. Kizer's D2 is usually pretty good, too. Build quality looks great. It's as close as I'll probably get to the VERO fixie. It's certainly leaning in that direction.

It's an attractive knife. Too small for me, and I think there's some better options for people that aren't able to buy $400 knives all the time. Integrals are always expensive for good reason. For $400 I'd like to see some milling.

DITTO! 100% Don't get me wrong, when they started using D2 as the "budget" knife steel, i thought damn right an upgrade to "NO name steel". And d2 is "ok" but usually brittle and I prefer toughness I gotta few Kizer exclusives in 3v,4v,15v,s35.... Maybe they'll drop an exclusive tough steel in this one. Who knows......🫣

I like it. Do you think a finer salt may have left less of a cratered sort of look? I’m thinking about trying to create a spiral pattern on a brass pen with a diagonal line of salt across a wet paper towel that I roll the pen body within or saturate a piece of twine wrapped around the body with a salt solution and periodically reapply it… Thanks for the video, KDK.
@Kenman_DanKenman3 күн бұрын
@ElCapAddict yes, different size salt would create different patterns. Each little dot made a circle. By using more salt, or bigger rock salt, that can vary it. So many ways to create shipwreck patina. Your idea may work! Im excited to experiment with it more. I used bigger rock salt as well in the next one. Video coming soon!
