That climb-up trail from Dolly road is always a beast! 👹 Nice to see someone else using Corridor 11 to connect Patch Rd. with Broad Cove. I thought I was the only psychopath on a bike that used that trail. 👍

Thanks! I stealth camped in that spot - took great care to LNT and make sure it was left better than when I got there. There are some camp grounds along the route that are just a short detour.

Sorry I missed this. I used a bike bag, it was horrible. I just purchased the Dakine Bike Roller Bag for my trip to California next month. I plan on doing a new video after that trip. I find a bag storage spot, or talk to the hotel where I'm staying the night before the trip. Sometimes they allow you to leave bags for a couple of days. It can be hit or miss, but usually you'll find something. In Europe, near the train stations, there is usually a long term storage facility that has lockers. The lockers range in size that can accommodate most bags - but not boxes or cases.

Thanks for sharing! I always appreciate seeing how others are making their trip work for them! One thing I would like to see more about is the traveling with the bike logistics. Did you use a box? How did you get it to the airport? Did you put your bike together in the airport in Europe or cart the box to your hotel!? I would love to hear more about that as well!

Thanks for watching! My travel with bike game deserves another review - after I got home from this trip I made the commitment to never do a trip like that again with the bike bag/luggage I used. Back to the drawing board for that one for sure.

Europe is very bike friendly with paths everywhere and vehicles always respetful of cyclists. Very easy to follow the Euro Velo routes (or just go your own way) and stay in hostels and attended campsites. A few years ago i cycletoured from Toulouse around coastal France, visiting all the Normandy beacheads and the Somme battlefields (accidentally stumbled onto Richtofens initial burial place) into Belgium and ended in Amsterdam, NL. Memorable and highly recommended.

The biggest problem people have when packing gear is cause by the sweet roll bag they just to narrow .. best to switch it out with sea to summit large event bag .. that way you can get all your complete sleep system in one bag including tent sleeping bag and air pad and base camp clothes .. and pillow and light .. and even change Of clothes for next day ride.. then use the front fork bags for clothes summer winter etc .. then use frame bag for water bladder and tools ..water the most heaviest thing we carry . Then rear bag food .top tube bags one for clothes you may need during ride other for camera gear etc ..first aid kit visible on the top of the seat post bag

I really like my sweetroll and have zero issues with packing all I need for my trips with current configurations. I’d be a bit concerned using a larger system on my H-bar that I would load it up and add too much weight up high, especially given the swing weight when riding singletrack. I’m curious to try your method with a harness instead tho and see what happens.

Sounds like an awesome trip . I went skiing in France a few years ago and on the way visited Vichy Ridge and lochnager mine crater which was an eye opener. I went in February and it was sleet and freezing at the time 😅. But being at the crater gave me a good appreciation of the undulating hill landscapes which must made good defensive obstacles. I reckon you can make an awesome bike ride cycling to interesting places

Love it Ben! Keep up the good work! What program are you using to edit? POV footage is slightly more difficult than most people think. Try and use a stabilizer gimbal and it gets even more difficult! I have yet to find a rig that works 100% all the time. Have you thought of using a secondary gp or point and shoot to throw some banter in between runs? Kinda like chair lift chatter? Looking forward to seeing more soon!

Thanks Jeremy. I have a lot planned for this, this was just my first go with my current set-up. I have a gimbal that I'm eyeing up that is highly recommended by POV MTBers, but my fullface has a built-in under the visor helmet mount for GP. The editing software I use is Adobe Premiere Pro.
