The issue with those seats is that the headrest tapers forward so your neck is pushed forward, then on top of that, the headrests can only be raised in that tapered angle putting your neck in an awkward shape entirely. I had a similar issue with the seatback being very short, I too am 5'9 / 175 cm and the headrest, even when raised to the max, is not enough to support my entire head. This was observed on my 772ER flight from DFW - MIA. They purposely made the seatback height that low to make the seats lighter. The newer 787 are fitted with different seats manufactured by Collins Aerospace so hopefully they addressed this issue.

5ft 10! I thought you were at least 6ft probably more when looking at you sat down. Given the low headrest and the weird tray table i wonder if theres is something under your seat like a pipe or a box that means they have raised the cushion under you to accommodate it.

We enjoyed Hideaway beach very much, very relaxing n less noisy. Hideaway will be our to go area now. We pay $23 per Adult, very well worth it.

It’s goes both ways, BA cancelled my flight and rebooked me but I never got any of the meals I paid for and or seat I reserved for a price.

Do not rent from indie camper! This is a scam company! They have rented us a car with engine issue, which we had to return 10 days earlier then anticipated as we could not drive it anymore and it was diagnosed with an engine issue by a mechanic partnered with indiecamper. Out of 7 days that we had car, we wasted 4 spending in mechanic shops trying to fix it as they requested us to do. They did not gave us any replacement and we were left in Europe with no van, no hotel reservations. Almost two months later still trying to get my money back.

Hi, I am about to go in a week, from San to Miami at night. Does anybody have any tips. I haven't been on a flight in 18 years.

American Airlines is the worst. Their airplanes are old and small. Almost all of them don't have a screens and those plastic and rubber back seats/tables are small, cheap looking and nasty. Almost every flight was delayed, the pilots were unprofessional and not empathetic. However the most terrible thing was the flight from Charlotte to PCB. It was so scary because of the high turbulence and the pilot's weird actions. They kept silent and did some maneuvers instead of trying to land as usual-3 hr instead of 50 minutes. Something went wrong, and the people wasn’t informed. Never again.

I recently flew the 777-200 with American and I experienced the EXACT same issues with the seats. They are freaking horrific. I don’t get why they were designed like that and why AA continues to use them.

Same with lights on Dublin to charlotte lights off 90% of the flight very very annoying

Indie Campers is a total ripoff. I rented a van from them in May 2024 and bought the Premium Protection plan for $199. I had a small accident which dented the top of van. A local repairman gave an estimate of $300. Turns out the premium plan only covers about 30% of the van. The top and bottom areas aren't covered. They charged my credit card over $3,800 for damages. Then they lied about letting me have the local repairman do the work. Do not rent from Indie Campers.

One note: whilst CX will check through your bags onto other carriers where possible, BA's policy is NOT the same (i.e. they refuse to through check bags on separate itineraries) which is a pain if you're starting your journey with them but connecting onto other flights. They won't even check it through if you are connecting from BA onto another BA flight! You might get a sympathetic agent who turns a blind eye but I hope you didn't find this out the hard way.

The seats have gone downhill since the 1990's. They used to have big seat cushions and I am guessing to save weight, they all went with the no support flat seat cushions that offer no back support or butt support. Even the seat frames have changed and are narrower. Even on a 1 or 2 hour flight, my back hurts and I don't have back problems.

Lee, I'm a frequent flyer, only flying OneWorld. I make Executive Platinum / Platinum Pro / Emerald every year and have done so since 2015. I only fly longhaul internationally, from Europe to global destinations. Here are the facts: -AA is the ***WORST*** OneWorld operator -They fly old, worn out, and very poorly equipped aircraft -They do not fly amazing modern planes like A350 or A380, they fly the shitty Boeings and seem to only order the cheapest, most disgusting interior -i often book Premium Economy; their Premium Eco is the ***WORST*** in the OneWorld network -Over the years i tried every other airline in OneWorld and operators like Japan Airlines and Finnair are ***LIGHTYEARS*** better. I've recently flown Finnair and JAL premium economy, and I was mindblown how GOOD and NICE airplanes can be eqipped!!!!!!!!! -On JAL from Haneda to Sydney, they operated a 787 Dreamliner and their premium eco was 2-3-2 instead of 2-4-2 and JAL had the greatest, most spacious seats ever! ***EVERY*** AA Dreamliner is a piece of shit and there are always technical problems -AA main operations principle is obviously cheap, cheap, cheap. Their planes suck. Their inner lining and seats suck. AA Premium Eco seats are the cheapest, least practical and lowest quality in OneWorld -Their food regularly sucks. -While many other airlines employ young sexy stewardesses, AA employs old hags - nothing against older women and it is not primarily about their looks, BUT their age and poor looks seems to make them meaner, grumpier and less service-oriented -- the Asian and Finnish girls are not only easier on the eye but they are just nicer, more attentative (if you need something). Imagine that: The cold, reserved Finnish do a better job than the superficial, jovial, agreeable Americans. -AA does not give class upgrades; i often have top status and AA never upgrades me for free from Eco to Business or from Premium Eco ***despite*** having open seats in Business. I recently got a ***free*** upgrade on Qatar from Eco to Business (Kuala Lumpur to Doha, Doha to Frankfurt), on Iberian from Eco to Business (from Madrid to Lima), and on Cathay from Premium Eco to Business (Hong Kong to Sydney); this has not happened to me on AA in the past 6 years and even further back as far as i can remember -AA changes their stupid frequent flyer programme every year, and ever, year you get less. They also intentionally punish frequent flyers who do not do US domestic city hopping. They punish less frequent but longer international flights. To earn high status gets harder and harder every year when you are not a pseudo-important self-absorbed US company city hopper manager/CEO or if you don't fly business class. I could keep going on and on and keep trashing those losers at AA. Within OneWorld, I try to avoid AA as much and I can and fly Finnair, JAL, Qatar, Cathay etc. as much as I can. As long as I make Executive Platinum / Platinum Pro / Emerald, the status transfers nicely inside of OneWorld.
