Hello, 🐦🐦🐦🐞🐞🐞🦋🦋🦋May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." Also, can I share Isaiah 53:5 " But HE was WOUNDED For our TRANSGRESSIONS, he was BRUISED for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His STRIPES we are HEALED." God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?

Thank you for this! This is my reflection across the US. Communities attempting to help families, controlled by businesses, and driven policy and funding, must partner with youth and families the true leaders and innovators of system change. Our Crossover Youth continue to fail up. We must use Wraparound to break out of this cycle and use authentic youth and family voice to help improve systems and outcomes for children and families. #individualized #culturallycompetent #familyyouthdriven #teambased

Im curious to know how she is doing these days. It's almost like she had to get a new identify and face change to escape what she has done, does not help that she majored in something that involves tv studios and cameras.

There are some clues about her current life. She probably works behind the scenes and such. She was talented and hard working. But definitely keeping a very low profile and unlikely to openly re appear.

I''m not sure if anyone will read this but this is our situation. My niece is now six years old. She has had a terrible home life since the day she was born. She was born in a rehab center due to her mother being an addict and the judge gave her mother the option of rehab or jail. The father, who is my brother, was permitted to take the baby home eventually, however, he was is a depressed state. I do not know if he was also on drugs or not. This is the beginning of the system allowing this baby to slip through the cracks. The mother was released from rehab, however, overdosed at home and died. CYS did nothing to ensure the baby was in a safe and stable situation. Struck two on the system. Before anyone says that my brother's family did not do anything, we were not involved with my brother and had no idea that this baby was even born let alone that a woman died in my brother's house. When my niece turned two, the story began to unfold through other people telling my mother (who is in her 80's - my brother is in his 50's). Anyway, we began to be a part of this child's life. Oh, and let me say, my niece at this point did not speak a word). My brother began to drop her off at my mom''s so she could babysit. When I found out about this (my niece was about to turn 3), I began to share the responsibility of babysitting while trying to balance my job. Then entered a girlfriend into my brother's life. To make a long story short, this woman was an abuser. I had called CYS several times, but never heard anything. The story from here is not clear, but as far as I know, the day care center had called CYS about abuse and the neighbors. However, the child remained in the home. I do not know if CYS ever checked in. I was taking a lot of heat from my family because they did not want to believe this child was being abused. The bruising got to be worse and worse over time. The girlfriend, now the step mother since my brother married her, told everyone that the child was abusing herself. FINALLY, an emergency visit to a doctor who was an expert in abused children, called CYS and reported abuse. FINALLY, CYS decided to HEAR. My niece was taken to a chilren's physch unit (wrong person taken). They observed her for a week. FINALLY, CYS called me to ask if I would pick her up from this unit. This call was a shock and a relief at the same time. FINALLY, they were taking all the reports seriously. My niece was now four. It took them four years to even think of protecting this child. My husband and I signed up to be foster parents in order for her to have supervised visitation from Second Chance keeping us out of that situation. This went on until her dad was arrested due to pulling a gun on cops and has been in jail since Thanksgiving. Visitations stopped at his request and we were so relieved that she did not have to endure going to a jail. We are now approaching paperwork for adoption. My concern right now is how do I explain to this child, who is now six why visitation with her dad has stopped. Also, she believes my brother's wife is her mom. How do I tell her she is not her mother, she is the woman who abused her, and that her mother is dead. Also, my brother and his wife had another child, who would be my niece''s half sister. The step mother has a son, who is in his father's custody, she believes is her full brother. How do I unwrap all of this to a six year old. Are there any resources to help me do this correctly. Thank you for taking the time to read my family's story.

How many homes have these foster youth been through? Why are they not able to maintain relationships in a family environment? How can office buildings be utilized to provide appropriate accommodations? Why is the current way of running things not working? How can this model be improved to meet the need for beds?

It's beautiful what she does but it's creepy that some foster parents seem to wish that their foster child won't reunite with their birth parents. Is this really love or just selfishness? You should wish for the best for that child, no matter what this is.

Thank you for recording this, since I wasn't able to participate live. You all have some great ideas, and this was a great discussion. I hope some, if not all, can be implemented into the child welfare system some day. The sooner the better. Thank you all for the work you are doing in this space. I appreciate you and your work. Brian, I was in care at All Faith's Receiving Home many years ago. I truly wish the ideas you mentioned were around when I was in care there. And Jerry, my mother certainly could have used mental health services in order to keep my siblings and I out of care when I was a child.

You're racist! I can't take you seriously if you're acting the aggressor in a racial debate over whether or not a white student should wear his hair in twists. Its none of your business what he does with his hair. OH, and by the way: The Spanish speaking community wants the word "Bonita" back! That's cultural appropriation.

Hello everybody. You should be really really careful about your hair style. I am not personally offended by the girl with the purple sweatband on her noggin straightening her hair out, but I know a girl with a different skin color than hers who also has naturally curly hair, and in her culture: they only straighten their hair for certain occasions. And I know my feiend would be really really triggered to see somebody casually wearing her hair straightened out: I actually think it looks cool and like trying different hair styles often myself, and I support the girl in the purple sweatband wearing her hair straight, but I just hope my friend never sees purple headband girl wearing straight hair because I hate when my friend gets triggered when she sees people who don’t have exactly the same shade of skin tone as she does, trying the hair style her culture wears on special occasions, because it’s so embarrassing. My friend has a tendency to look at a person’s hair, then if their hair is straight my friend tries to deduce whether the hair has been straightened or if it is naturally straight. If she thinks the hair has been straightened out, next my friend tries to tell if the person who may have straightened her hair matches my friend’s skin tone, and if not my friend will try to stop the person, and do whatever she can to try to get that person distracted from whatever they MEANT to focus on that day, then get them to think only about their hair style... if she had her way they wouldn’t just get distracted for a few minutes: they would think about every hair style they ever attempt, every morning, for the rest of their loves, wondering if some knucklehead is going to stop them and distract them from whatever they were planning to do that day in order to get them to cease and desist from ever wearing that particular hair style. Just a head’s up ! Have a great day :)
