Sometimes its not about the choice of batteries its about whats required on the equipment.... My speedlite doesnt use Alkaline batteries it cant handle anything larger than 1.2Volts

SB 800 have little more energy in full load about 2m guide number. She is very good flashgun but she need much more time to reload and to be ready between flashing like sb900 or sb910. SB800 need 4.5s but SB910 2.6s. For more precision details please compare instruction attached to flash set inside box.

The batteries are not failing. Maybe you should pay attention to your batteries. Rechargeable batteries have less power, and it is actually a safety feature. Because they have less power, and things like cameras actually use a lot of power, rechargeable batteries will go dead a lot faster. Normal AA and AAA are 1.5 volts, rechargeable AA and AAA batteries are 1.2 volts. They used to actually put extra battery slots in electronic devices for rechargeable batteries. For example, walkie talkies that use AA and AAA batteries are still made with extra battery slots. If you buy one they will come with two fake batteries, and if you use normal batteries you use 8 AA or AAA plus the two fake batteries, and if you use rechargeable batteries you use 10 rechargeable batteries. It is because 8 normal AA or AAA batteries equal 12 volts, but you need 10 rechargeable AA or AAA batteries to equal 12 volts. So they put 10 slots in so you can use rechargeable batteries. Most people just do not pay attention, and do not realize rechargeable batteries have less power, and are designed to have less power.

I realize this was posted long ago. In the video you like every video I've watched suggests setting your power in your case to 1/2 other start at lower power levels. The problem I found when learning was that proper flash power hence exposure was not easily achieved because proper flash exposure is dependent not only on flash power but also flash distance, ISO, and Aperture. May I suggest an easy way to achieve near perfect flash power from the start. I use the flash guide number divided by 10 (feet) . Set your camera to ISO 100, Shutter Speed to max camera synch speed - flash to 1/1 power. Example: the GODOX TT350 has a Guide number of 118 ft divided by 10 = 11.8. The 11 is the aperture .8 is the number in tenths needed to open your aperture from the f/stop in this case f/11. Open your aperture from f/11 (since .8 is nearly one stop) to f/8 works every time. If you move your speed light to 5ft you'd adjust your flash power to 1/2. If from that position you want to adjust your aperture to f/2.8. You'd set the aperture and adjust your power by the same amount of stops (3) so now your flash power is 1/16th power. Looking at what I wrote it seems complicated but it takes roughly 10 seconds to find the settings I need.

Full zoom on the speedlights focuses the light more. A better comparison would be to attach a fresnel lens to the monolight and zoom it in all the way

Been using RF-603N triggers on Flashpoint monolights for years. They work extremely well.

Helpful tip , anything over 15 min sitting still bump the idle up to at least 850 rpms ...idle all night run that bitch on 950 rpm ..this keeps the engine temp up to operating temp , it doesn't allow to much raw fuel past your doc that will build up in your dpf and most of all doesn't allow moisture to build up in the regen system and dpf. Raw fuel and moisture in your dpf after idling all night will through derate codes when u pull out in the morn ..so bump that idle up and get the proper amount of oil in your head and keep the moisture and raw fuel out of your dpf ..you will burn a little more fuel but minimize your regen issues.

A smart charger with eneloop LSD batteries is a most reliable combination and will keep all the batteries maximally (and equally) charged. But there is another (dark side) to Alkaline battery reliability which I have not seen mentioned here with any frequency - and that is if you leave them in your device and forget about them they will all leak and ruin your device with great reliability. Although possible, NiCds don’t leak that easily. This is why I don’t use alkalines anymore no matter how cheap they are on sale.

Hi .. I do not know if you can reply me because I have a question to ask you is I saw you put a white bracket over head of the flash to try is it fit with your softbox? Even reflector will be lockable into this flash 620M but this reflector is fit what kind of bracket for softbox? Example : Softbox Bowen mount then mounting on S2 bracket Bowen mount. I do not know this reflector for Flashpoint 620M 300 Watt AC/DC Monolight Strobe is fit any flash or only Flashpoint flash ? I am sure this flash is not Bowen mount then what mount is it? So funny I just dragged out my 10-year-old Flashpoint 320m and started thinking about how to trigger that thing using my yongnuo speed lights. Problem is the pre-flash on the speedlights even when in manual mode triggers the monolight. So I had to do exactly what you did attach a trigger via PC cable to the light and that solve the problem works great. While looking for a video on how to solve this problem I came across yours and looks like you have the exact same light that I do
