Currently looking for a vehicle to drive the Pan American highway. This one is really nice and seems to have plenty of storage space as well. Especially since it's just for the two of us. Duly noted on the list. Thanks for the tour. Will be checking out more of your content.

Two adults, a full fuel and water tank would seriously eat into that payload. Needs up-plating in my mind.

Very nice but you’d think as the rolls Royce of motor homes you’d have electric internal dividing door including fly screen front door, nicer stitched leather seating, better coffee machine maybe positioned where the freezer is and relocate the freezer elsewhere. Also all electric blinds, can’t believe at this level you still have to manually close blinds… also you want a jet wash extendable tap in the toilet rather than have to use a toilet brush. The main bed should be lowe and be walk around and the tvs should be electric pop up or out not manual. The bathroom should have a matched luxury marble look sink rather than the standard bland white and matched with a bit of colour on the shower wall panels and matching toilet seat not cheap plastic white. Should also maybe have the star light ceiling as in roll Royce cars for final improvement. Back of vehicle could do with making a bit more luxury as that looked quite bland also. The dining table looks quite cheap so maybe matching pattern on table and darker inlay pattern on edge. Different colour mood lighting throughout with dimmer. Balancing auto and manual option as well which you can do by button or in your iPhone app. More side lights along side of outside of vehicle. Lose the cupboards above the bed as well as it not needed and better with higher space above head, put reading lights instead and touch phone charger. Better wooden flooring with inlay pattern around edge to match dining table. Nicer looking steering wheel maybe with cream and brown as in maybach cars with matching dashboard. Finally (maybe) motion detector and recording cameras built in on both sides and back with little cctv in operation notice on each side. Also ring door bell at door entrance. Oh and star link system for perfect Wi-Fi connection. Maybe a bespoke large umbrella built in near to the entrance doorway same as rolls Royce have and an external large tv that is hidden behind a panel for when you have bbqs etc.

Is the full length light on the awning integrated or an add on ?

As I am considering the snorkel and airbox mod on my RS for the German Twin Trophy, that head stock extraction tip in the last vid was very helpful. But to be honest, I expected a bit more torque in the middle compared to the stock engine. Anyway, fantastic series, thx Dave!

A great tip I would give anyone wanting to buy, before doing so, contact other dealers & motorhome buyers, asking them what they would give you for the very same mh you're interested in buying. State a similar mileage, same year, condition, extras etc. Their offer will give you a good idea what the selling dealer has in it. Only, be prepared to be shocked !

Excellent Video that'll help many. If I can add. I've personally done 12 months of solid research on this very subject ever since we got robbed by two seperate dealers in the buying (crazy high price) & selling (crazy low price only two years later) of our motorhome. All in all most dealers earn a fortune on each sale...& used ones generally shockingly so. Here are some factual examples talking to selling owners, in dealers buy in price, V their advertised & actual selling price. £13,000/£21,950 £18,500/£32,500 £21,000/£38,000 £21,500/£36,995 £44,000/£62,500 Some sold with warranty, some without. I'd say buyer beware, take your time in searching, find a good solid dealer (with great reviews only) & who's genuinely on your side, who'll strike a deal for the mh you want. Or consider buying privately once you know the layout you're after, also consider having a proper inspection carried out, especially if you've any doubts on said mh. Dealers have had it far too good for too long & it's time buyers only bought from them if realistic prices are asked & deals done.

Six on board plus fuel, water, clothing, toiletries, kitchen stuff, food,and all the usual paraphernalia will put this van way above 3500kg. Useful load will be low.

You didn't say much about the drop down beds. Pros and cons of this configuration.

If your going to buy a motorhome Hire one first £1500 spent on a weeks hire is better than £50,000 on a mistake, we did on 2 separate occasions, one was a French bed Swift and the other was a drop down bed Roller Team, we Ended up buying a 2019 Bailey 76-2 French bed and love it

What are the notable differences between the 53 and the 53L, other than length. I know that the L has different display cupboards and the two storage boxes on the back shelf, are thereany other differences throughout the vehicle? Also some seem to have the full oven and some the oven above the fridge, which of the 2024 or 2025 models have the full oven please?
