OK so it's a great idea obviously, but I'm not convinced, I'll believe it when i see it !,, ages ago Toyota were coming, until they weren't !, and if it does eventuate ???? I fear it will go the same way as the Nissan's :(, yes this is a new generation & all, but with the homolagation debacle that we have seen, and the Nissan's were rarely competitive, and if Ford pulls the pin ?, then what ???? , let's face it the category has been ruined through mismanagement & poor decisions from StupidCars!, and I doubt this is going to save the furniture!, after the Liberals stood by & watched our local car manufacturing burn to the ground, and did nothing to save it, sadly after that , the demise of our once great category was enviable.

They changed it from V8 supercars to supercars because they will transition to 6cyl one day. They even tested a 6cyl in that sandman concept they had.

I’m very interested to see how Toyota goes with the Supra it will be telling via comparison to the Mustang and the Camaro. In terms of other brands I suppose Nissan with the 400z, maybe Hyundai with the Genesis, maybe Subaru with the BRZ and I suppose you could say the BMW M2 that’s all I can think of.

I would love to see the 400z eventually but I don’t think Nissan offer a v8 engine atm but I could be wrong. And with those other brands I don’t think would work as even with the 400z it’s a little bit smaller then what the supra, mustang and Camaros are. And that’s also the reason why I don’t think bmw at least with the m2 works maybe with an m3 possibly but definitely can rule out Subaru because running basically a Toyota gt86 under Subaru’s name in Supercars wouldn’t work with the gt86 series atm. But that’s just my thoughts

@@Alex-tu9bh it’s certainly his best shot to win I can confirm that. In terms of the future I guess we won’t properly know until 2026. But they could be on the back foot with no prior knowledge and running of the car in the series. But if it’s a good package then I can’t see why they can’t win it. They’re a great team so they will just need the car to be great aswell

From Dick Johnsons statement they want Brodie to lead team into future probably multi year deal... And they are looking at Super 2 team with Jett evaluated previously in test day...

There is no defence for what Randle did on track! It was worse than a rookie mistake. I think it was intentional. Randle should have been penalized serverly for what he did. But of course, no matter what penalty is given, it will never make for Feeny's result. Jack should be allowed to race.

Supercars are slowly killing their own sport. Good to have higher level drivers competing every now and then in super 2. More experience is gained by the drivers.

They went for cheapest option using reserve crash damage this season from Albon and Logan has been too much costing them upgraded parts and chassis...
