@@ThomasLäuger-v4v Reißt nicht aus, die Abdeckpläne gibt es in verscheidene Dicken, 70g/m2, 100g/m2. Eine von 70 wiegt ungefähr 250-300 g. Für das Hexpeak F6a natürlich etwas schwerer als das V4a

Very nice videos as usual. I have a question though. At some point you don't follow the Alpe Adria radweg anymore. Is there a reason for this ? It's nice to see another part of Austria though.

Thanks for your comment! We always plan our own routes. So following the entire Alpe Adria radweg wasn't our main goal, we just used parts of it as long as it was convenient in our route planning.

It's funny really, it must take an absolute age, to produce each short video, with editing, music etc, viewed by many people, but so few can be bothered to hit the 'thumbs up' to show their appreciation. So Come on folks, if you watch this , then give 'some 'feedback' it's not TV you know. These are truly relaxing masterpieces, and if you ride a recumbent, then you understand.

On recumbent over Vršič? Respect!! I crossed Vršič many years ago on my old road bicycle with gear 38/28 and it was very hard. I am not sure if i am able to do it on my recumbent with 50/39/30 front and 11-36 casette.

Thanks Jan! My gear is 42/32/24 (front) and 9 speed cassette 11-34. It is a little more difficult but unless it is paved and not steeper than say 15% it is doable. A recumbent is not suitable on more rougher terrain with steeper slopes.

Da's heel lang geleden dat ik een video van je bekeek. Al jaren op de ligfiets zie ik! Mijn Hexpeak V4a buitentent ben ik verloren! Ik hoorde wel iets maar dacht dat het een tak was o.i.d. Gelukkig had ik de Lanshan 1 bij me als reserve. Ik heb daarna een buitentent gekocht van Ali Express met schoorsteengat. Zelfde formaat als jouw F6a. Voldoet prima. Zee van ruimte natuurlijk. Flinke buien mee gehad geen probleem. En is nu maar €39.90. Ongelooflijk goedkoop! Moet wel scheerlijnen en runners erbij bestellen want de tent heeft alleen lussen. Ook kun je van Ali een halve hex full mesh binnentent 285x140x130cm bestellen voor €45 die er perfect in past. Met alu stok ( kreeg ik erbij) is de hele mikmak combinatie nog steeds onder de 2 kilo. Zowel de buitentent als de binnentent hebben een voor- en achterdeur. Dus voor de low budget mensen die comfortabel willen kamperen een echte aanrader! Ik zeg niet dat de kwaliteit even goed is als de Sil Hexpeak, maar komt heel dichtbij. Beslist geen rommel. Enige wat ik had was dat de binnentent vloer beetje vochtig aanvoelde onder de slaapmat de laatste keer. Ik heb er een nieuwe coating op gesmeerd. Maar dat vocht was misschien al daar en kwam niet door het doek. Tijdens stortregens bleef ik volkomen droog. Ik ga binnenkort weer een weekje weg en weet niet wat ik meeneem. Of super basic met alleen de trike en de Lanshan. Of mijn fietskarretje er aan hangen en de grote tent waar ik met mijn stoeltje onder kan zitten. Zolang het warm en droog is heb je niet veel nodig. Gaat het regen en waaien, tja dan is zo'n ruime tent een paleis. Zelfs de toevallige wolf die voorbij rent kan er in komen schuilen.

Hello Minko, soon I'll be buying my recumbent. But before buying I would like to know your opinion about front suspension. Is it really necessary or is it better to save the weight and just buy one with a normal fork? Comfort is important for me, but if the difference is small then I don't see the point. I'm asking because I don't want to buy the bike and then realize that I should have bought it with front suspension. My guess is that it's not that important since 80% of your weight is in the back. Let me know what you think. Thank you

Hi Tiago, yes it is not really needed. Make sure there is enough space in the fork to buy a fat wider front tyre if needed. This will give you enough comfort. I ride two recumbents, one without and one with front suspension. I dont notice a big difference In confort. Which one are you gonna buy? I also saw on marktplaats a guy who had a recumbent bike rental place who is retiring. He sells a lot of bikes for <150 euros each: link.marktplaats.nl/m2122698229 And you can test ride it there.

@@thewizardofoh i haven't decided yet which one. I really wanted a Nazca cruiser but the ones that are for sale people are not really responding. So they are probably sold. Second option is a optima lynx. It's also a nice one. It will depend of who will answer to my messages I guess. There are some challenges, but they are a bit pricey. Will see.

@@thewizardofoh I did, but he out bid me. I also think it's a bit strange that there's only one photo.i asked for more but the guy ignored me. I think it's some scam. 200 is just too little for that bike. And 400 is too much for me since I can buy something a lot cheaper. I tried an optima linx and an M5 with shock proof, but I wasn't happy with any. However now I know what I want, and definetly it's a cruiser, something on the lines of the Nazca cruiser or explorer or that hp. The super sporty position is not what I'm looking for. Will see, I have one deal already aligned but living in Cadzand is not easy to get to the cities, and it's pretty expensive. I need to be patient I guess.

After 3 years, this inner tent held up pretty well. The floor remains waterproof, no issues with the fabric. Considering the price (€60!) it is a bargain. My brother has now bought the outer 15D too as replacement for the old Hubba Hubba HP outer tent as well. For less than €175 incl shipping (including the inner tent, poles, pegs etc) it seems a good deal as well.

I must say I enjoy your videos because they are different, not the usual camera in the face....I'm a super hero, type stuff, but just an enjoyable journey shared. I also like the music attached to them. Relaxing and tranquil, as touring should be, although I'm sure It's not all plain sailing. Oh well, I'll crack on with the up coming episodes , btw that's not the the old Wizard is it,?

Yep, I wasnt sure it was the same bike..........new suspension forks, front mech changer (you used to change gear by moving the chain tubes by hand?), slightly different blue? and the boom is black. @@thewizardofoh

Yes, I have changed a lot during the years. The front fork has been replaced in 2008 by a suspension fork with disk brake. The black front boom with front derailleur is from 2021. Only the blue frame and rear fork is from the original Wizard 😄
