Honestly, if it takes a close up side by side comparison, it’s had to justify the expense of the benchmade…it’s a knife and it cuts stuff. Some knock offs are junk but geez these are the same knife. Ya think I care about the logo size?
@MikesMediaКүн бұрын
This video is for the people who do care about buying the real knife with the quality steel. It is hard to imagine that after spending $250 for a knife you would be fine with it being a fake because it can still "cut stuff".

@@MikesMedia don’t take me wrong. A) this was a great video and informative. I appreciated it. B) I’d friggin’ lose my mind if I spent $250-$300 on anything, including a knife, if it turned out to be a fake. I’ve bought AliExpress knives before. They a GREAT quality for the money. I really like them. And if I break or lose one (they get legs you know), I don’t lose any sleep. Personal opinion…just not in the camp that my pocket feels different if it’s a BM or knockoff that is a great knife. Yes, I’d be super pissed to get taken and your video was great to me about how close the replica’s are to the real thing.
@MikesMedia21 сағат бұрын
@@mgraham_Indiana I agree. If you buy a fake knowing it is a fake then they are good knives for the price. Especially if you have the real one and you like the ergonomics and action then buying a fake for certain uses can be a benefit.

How do I put this in pairing mode!? I'm getting so stressed out 🤣
@MikesMediaКүн бұрын
There is a link to the user manual in the description.

That's the issue. The manual doesn't tell you how to put it into pairing mode. So the app never recognizes it

It probably the exact same material Benchmade uses as well someone has found benchmades material distributer and they are making them

US knife companies are undermining themselves by the price they are asking for. I own both and they all cut just fine.

I am a document specialist (Fake ID's and passports) so from a professional point of view interested in everything counterfeit. It will be more and more difficult to spot a fake if brands like Benchmade don't invest in newer technology. US brand have the tendency to keep things the wat they were. I mean look at your currency, it's crazy you can still use dollars from 50 years ago. With modern days technology it's so easy to press dollars that are almost impossible to spot from fake ones, same will be with knives.

I think sort of thing should be a wake up call for these companies when it comes to their pricing. As you can see from the comparison, there is no reason for these knives to cost hundreds of dollars. You can't tell me that it makes sense when a chinese comoany is producing damn near good results for a fraction of the cost. In reality, it doesnt cost them thag much to make and they mark it up a bunch.

When I was very young, my grand dad told me that we think in words and sentences, and that a correct understanding of the meaning of words was crucial to the ability to think and reason. It wasn't until I was older that I understood what he was saying. What you are talking about in this video sounds very similar, and I'm glad you shared this.

Thank you for extensive review..having a kid ride it would be helpful. I have 12 year old..wondering how it would do in the snow. Realize electric stuff struggles bit in cold weather but just driving on side roads or parking lots in snow etc.
@MikesMedia16 күн бұрын
Keeping the battery inside and warm will help in cold weather. This does not have positive traction so it will most likely spin and get stuck a lot in the snow.

Any feedback on where and how you purchased yours? I ordered from GoTrax website three weeks ago and still haven’t received any shipping info. Customer service is terrible. Requested a refund but who knows how long that might take. Just curious on your experience.

I ordered mine directly. The customer service is insanely bad. Theyre based out of TX. They have absolutely no idea what’s goin on with the orders. Ordered mine Nov 17th. After weeks of not getting any tracking info I reached out multiple times. No one could tell me why it hadn’t shipped yet. I finally got fed up and requested refund. Then a manger emailed me and offered $200 refund and guaranteed it would ship out the next day. Then the same day I got a call from the freight company telling me it was being delivered today. Basically in their system this thing hasn’t even shipped yet but now it’s sitting in my garage lol. Point of my story is the customer service is atrocious and it’s a crap shoot if you’re getting your order or not. It’s a pretty sweet product tho. It’s for my son’s Christmas gift. I’m just glad it showed up. Good luck and hope you get yours or at least the refund.

Well. I tell you what. And I’m seeing it a lot below in the comments. When something costs 250.00 in a store. Plus tax. For the working man. That’s a wad man. For someone who can actually afford it. Buyer beware. You could be buying a fake too. I’ve bought knives online. A lot of them. I use them for work. And if and when they do break. I toss them. So far. I’ve tossed 1 knife. 1. And it was a knockoff benchmade.

After having a busted oil pan, I've always been paranoid about any liquid trail from underneath my car. I always make sure it's just water and not oil. Oil would make a shiny rainbow look.

When I first saw a Spyderco, I thought it was ugly bordering on ridiculous. When I bought my first nice knife, I paid a lot of $$ for one from their biggest competitor. I was sorely disappointed. Had I spent 50% more for their “flagship” model, maybe I would have liked it. I finally handled a Spyderco and was surprised at how such a tiny knife (Dragonfly 2) could work so well. I have three of them now. Eventually I bought more models, and I’ve truly enjoyed all but one-the shape of the handle didn’t work in my hands. My latest is a Para 3, and it’s the best yet. As for the competitor? I never bought another knife from them.

This is a lousy design. Old fob was better and key extraction was a breeze. Plus after having a 2017 CX-9 with old fob never had issue of lift gate being inadvertently activated. 2021 CX-9 fob has opened lift gate multiple times scratching the paint against the garage door. I have seen this repeated on other CX-9's in parking lot. The utube instruction was invaluble.
