I've been debating this paint for my trailered S2 7.9 and you just sold me

@@wesleyleytham5094 are you thinking about Pettit VIVID for a trailered racer? VIVID is semi hard, but has competitors that may be harder, like Micron. I hear the VC17 is being avoided for some reason. I'm in SC, and the trailered vessels are generally gel coat bottoms, using no bottom paint. Those guys are only wet when when racing though. Still, the gel coat is the fastest, hardest, and easiest to maintain. Monthly cleaning with soft scrub and a long handled brush, while on the trailer, allowed to dry before rinsing, the residual bleach kills the scum when splashed, and getting wet again. I'm afraid the Pettit VIVID will need patching, more often than cleaning with soft scrub. In my experience though, Pettit VIVID lasted 9+ years in fresh water, with monthly scrubbing, and that scrubbing burnished it to smooth, and was very fast. In the ocean, lasted 3+ years, with quarterly scrubbing (called scraping in the Caribbean, to remove barnacles, but actual scraping wasn't required), the small barnacles were 2-3 count, in 4 square feet of bottom, except at missing paint, at keel bottom and leading edges, where I hit. I hope this helps you.
