I have to say during harvest time we farmers put in a lot of time but Stopping and eating with the family is worth more than harvesting it helps get your head out of the hub bub a lets you clear your mind. Priceless

I had to stop part way through. MATT , you are doing an excellent job and service for us as a community and faithful follower. Especially with the drone footage and editing. That takes a lot of time. Been with you since the beginning. Keep up the amazing work. God Bless you, the family and farm I never miss an upload. Good day mate.

My wife brought my lunch to the field for many years of sugar cane harvest. It was at times the only time I could see the children during a 5 month long harvest. I would leave in the morning before they woke up and arrive home after they had gone to bed. They were great memories for all of us.

Really glad to hear that you are finished your harvest with out loosing any to rain. It has always been devastating to me to see crops rotting and going mouldy in the paddock. Growing up on a mixed farming block on the western downs I appreciate the blood sweat an tears that go into the land.

Love the Aussie tradition of taking a little time out to have dinner with the family each night during harvesting. Not only does it allow the family to come together, the kids are seeing and learning what it takes to be a farmer. They’re seeing the love and passion their parents and grandparents have for the land. RIDER-All Dads love dinner time with family, however are secretly just wanting to get into the machines to get it done!

Brad, interested why you crop over all the contours? Would it not be better for erosion protection to have them grassed? Is it because there are so many or that would cut the paddocks into to many small areas?
@xuejiaoxu67782 күн бұрын
With grass can come weeds.
@thejacksonbrothers2 күн бұрын
It’s easier to farm over and good stubble cover goes a long way to preventing erosion👍
@jefftheaussie2225Күн бұрын
Broad based roll over banks are designed to be farmed over. It won’t wash as the fall is 1% or less. The water doesn’t move quickly enough to do damage at that fall.
