Why is it when I cut the Range on the for instance the snare drum in edit that it cuts the entire range of the Bass Drum that seems like a programming flaw.

That's not supposed to happen. Please contact the support team so we can look into this. For your initial message, please also let them know if this happens also if you create a new project in your DAW and load AD2 (or if you're only using the standalone: does it happens again if you close it down, open it back up and select a different preset?) www.xlnaudio.com/support

I think XO would highly benefit from being able to lock one sample or one pattern so that I can continue to randomize without changing that sample or pattern. Current there is a lock feature for sample or pattern but after randomizing the sample and pattern is still changed.

I try to figure out where Life stores the from the cloud downloaded audio files, i am unable to find it. I also have a feature request. I need an option to mono samples, a dual panner, mono low`s etc.. Most of the samples i record on my phone have a very uneven stereo image that makes them almost unusable a lot of the time and i have to fix the stereo with another plugin after Life. I also would like to have an option to disable and exclude from randomisation the Haas effect because that does more often than not introduce mono compatibility issues. This is also the reason i want to find the samples folder so i can fix them in RX to make them more usable. I also would like to have parameter lock for most parameters so that i can lock them and exclude them from randomization. Another thing i would love is easy drag&drop of individual slices directly from the slicer into my DAW or to the desktop, this would be great to build a library of oneshot samples over time. I would also like to be able to quickly mute individual slices in addition to excluding them. Thanks. 😀😀

Thanks for the extensive feedback! We appreciate it. The recordings are unfortunately not stored as available wav files on your hard drive. You can get access to the raw source file by exporting it from the EXPORT window, but I can see how that is not a good workflow if you want to change the stereo image before it goes into Life. Please reach out to our support team if you have any questions: www.xlnaudio.com/support

That sound is so damn good, and is usable in loads of musical contexts. This is the first adpak that has tempted me to purchase since the first few kits I got with AD2. Edit- I got it, and it's awesome. Such a nice contrast to the other more open-sounding kits I was using.

Just used the Demo Version and im missing the ability to: - lock the sound or rythm settings on each channel as well as the Kit channel. if one channel is already great, why not being able to lock it? - just change the sound file but not the rythm. Somehow it always changes the rythm too when changing an audio file wich is sad. - generally everything that changes when clicking random should be lockable Hope you adress these ideas!!!

I bought a Roland Fantom which has a million pianos on it and haven't really played ADK for a while. My Fantom is in storage so fired ADKs back up today and I haven't enjoyed playing the piano as much in ages. Really appreciate this more. The studio grand with a mid medium curve sounds so great. I hope we see an upgrade similar to the AD2 one recently in terms of GUI. Would gladly pay for the experience. One ideas that I keep going back to which I would gladly do if I had the skill set (but I don't). Is to have similar drum kits and piano combos set in the same space and with the matching tonality for ease of mixing. For example, a vintage kit with a vintage sounding EP processed by the same gear. Maybe even some RC-20 presets. Like I said I don't have the skills and when I try to learn I annihilate my sound :)

The drag and drop audio function doesn't work on Ableton 12. I can drag the first sample onto the grid but every single other sampled that I record after that defaults to the very first sample. That is, If I record a kick drum the record a drum loop afterwards and drag the new wav file into the timeline, then it only remembers the kick drum sample. It doesn';t matter what I do and it is extremely frustrating. I've put in a support ticket.
@xlnaudio
@xlnaudio 19 күн бұрын
In case someone else wonders the same thing, here's what our support team replied: Ableton Live is unfortunately wired in a way that makes it really hard for us to get audio drag&drop working seamlessly. We have contacted them about it but sadly they said that they will not fix it. When you start dragging a wav file in Addictive Drums, AD2 is saving that wav file temporarily as “ADDrop.wav” in the AD2 user folder. Usually that works the first time, but when you try to do it again, Addictive Drums 2 tries to overwrite that temporary file with the new recorded groove and that’s when the error message shows. For some reason Ableton Live will not let Addictive Drums overwrite the ADDrop.wav file. What you can do to work around it is to drop the audio onto the desktop, rename the wav file and then drag it into Ableton Live.

I love many of the xo features but like all of these drum sequencer plugins are missing some features to be a perfect sequencer. I dont understand why they dont just look at the sequencer in fl studio. Forget about that ab aaab bullshit make a gui that have resizable steps where you can see all of the steps 8-64 resizable to selection. I dont care if the gui fills up the whole daw its easier and way less time consuming. And I dont understand why they have to make rolls like little dots where you dont have control of velocity, hp low pass or selective pitch for every node. You should see and have control of the rolls like the other patterns due to its importance especially in trap music. And not to speak of triplets WHY DOESNT THE DRUM SEQUENCER HAVE THIS EXTREMLY IMPORTANT PIECE OF FEATURE. Every gadt damn drummer in this world plays some kind of triplets now and then why in the flying fuck whole shouldnt a sequencer have it ? Its just so frustrating ! I bought the phil speiser "the pattern" same freaking thing there. He almost nailed it but forgot the triplets and I bought the plugin and thought he had it covered. Ofcourse the hell he did not!!! Every sequencer I have come across are missing some features that some of them have and some of them dont! Its so enoying!!!!!!! If you want some freaking assistant to make a drum sequencer that have all the freaking features it needs look no further, ( contact me I will gladly tell you! ) Im done with these sequencers its holding me awake at night waiting for the perfect one to arrive but it never comes! Im back to the daw editor and I hate the fucking thing!

HiHat feature request along with solution: please implement as Toontrack SD3 did. I know you don't know what to do when certain sample plays and you change hihat pedal position. So lets say we trigger closed hihat. Now, if within certain timeframe the pedal opens (short like f.e. 10ms), play THAT NEW OPEN PEDAL sample but NOT from beginning, play it from whatever time has passed from original pad hit, so play that sample from 10ms, possibly with crossfade. Now hou have SD3 hihat functionality. Thank me later :-) Obviously if closed pedal is triggered and 1 second has passed, that is too much time and then don't play any more samples if you open pedal. Currently you have to adapt your playing style to AD2, so you need to first set pedal height then hit the pad, but in real life it's not always like this.

Now that the tracks are routed to separate channels and I’ve set up other instruments as well, how can I convert the AD2 tracks' audio signals into separate audio tracks? I know there’s a drag-and-drop function for MIDI regions from AD2 to Logic Pro, but is there a method to split a MIDI region into separate tracks? I tried using "Split by Note Pitch" in Logic Pro, but it was a disaster-it created far too many new tracks and split the regions into 60-70 parts. I also tried bouncing (tracks in place) to convert MIDI regions into separate audio tracks. While it worked somewhat, I noticed that the "bus" track retained most of the audio signals, and the separate drum tracks sounded strange. What’s the correct way to work with AD2 sounds as audio tracks for mixing? I usually export everything to audio files and create a dedicated mixing project. Could you guide me on how to do this effectively?
@xlnaudio
@xlnaudio Ай бұрын
I think the most common way is to do the mixing directly on the aux tracks. If you prefer to bounce to audio before mixing that should also be possible. After setting up the separate output channels in Logic, try selecting all those tracks and then go into the File menu -> Export -> X tracks as audio files. That should work.

I really like the new update, much prefer the new layout. I've always loved the Beat Transform section, dragging my own step sequenced parts into it the finesse the dynamics. I wish you had expanded on this borrowing from XO with 1/2 and 1/6 added. For with timing. A 16th 8th swing controls, and a drag/nudge to layback different parts of the kit would, and the different groove option XO has .

Bought this and it's fantastic. All the Xopaks I've grabbed so far have been excellent, but Robot Koch's work on this one takes the Xopak format to a whole new level imo. The way the sound design / selection fit together with the wide range of rhythmic ideas is top tier, total inspiration. I constantly use these patterns as a jumping-off point with my own samples or start with these samples and build my own patterns. Looking forward to more collaborations! 😉
