@@julesvis Thanks. The frost was a bit icy & I needed both hands so didn't record it all & the camera battery was a bit flat again! You can see the north side is full of frost & that's the side you have to walk on!

Nice one yes i only wish I was there to give him some treats he's a great dog and it was nice to meet you both i was on the edge of my comfort zone on the ridge in wet cloud and my boot sole coming off 😮 so it was a special day for me it's a 250 mile round trip to get there for me but I am hoping to be there next week for a few dry days 🤞🏻

Thanks yes heading over to the near eastern fells planning on st Sunday crag and birks 2 more wainwrights to tick off on 142 at the moment have a lovely Christmas and a happy new year il keep my treats topped up in case we meet up again sometime 👍🏻

@@stephenhiggins8821 Yes, & it's still as slippery as it was when we saw you in November! I'm sure Tommy keeps expecting you to be there when we get to the summit because I keep seeing him licking his lips expecting a treat or two to come out of someone's pockets!

@LonscalePike absolutely but this lad had cracked and was retracing his steps on a calm day. We offered to walk him on as he was so close to 'safe ground' but he just couldn't go any further.

@@stevesproul1627 It depends on what the weather is like when you do it as to whether you'll like it. It's not nice when the rock is damp as it is slate and becomes very slippery. On a dry day you'll enjoy it I'm sure!

@@julesvis Do you remember when I told you it covered my face on the ridge once! Well, I had it on & just about remembered to take it off on the ridge & the wind nearly blew off the hat that I had on underneath! The snow low down was so slushy & completely saturated the inside of my boots!

@bleat222 Thanks for that, I'll look into it & do a search! It's amazing the camera has lasted so long, the first clip I took on it was over 10 years ago but unfortunately now it doesn't charge up anyone once the battery is flat.

@@EarthWatcher736 I ain't got any of them, just a few pairs of old knackered boots that let in the wet especially in the snow! I suppose it's one of the reasons why I'm not the snow's biggest fan! Surprisingly thought this is the same camera that I still use! I'm not sure how long it will last though because sometimes the battery is too flat to record!

@@EarthWatcher736 It depends on if we've enough time, etc. I'm not a big fan of snow but have to admit that most times it's easier to get over the ridge in snow (not slushy snow) than it is in these recent damp, slippy autumn conditions. Yes it's a shame we had hoped to get some views but not to be on this occasion I have been lucky on some others though this year I got a great cloud inversion and a brocken spectre on red screes in March which was amazing
