My stove is portable, made of four pieces to be taken apart for storage and put together for use. It functions basically like a J-tube but has perforations to let the ashes fall through to the "ashtray" base. It runs smokeless but I daren't use it at home since neighbours can tell when it's being run by the roaring as air rushes into the firebox. Running this stove has actually gotten both the fire brigade AND the police involved in the ensuing panic. But I won't destroy it because I can just move it to the wilderness to use it. It's definitely one way of getting off grid, reaching hot enough temperatures to power foundries and kilns.

Thanks for sharing. I have been looking at various solar cookers and yours is the cheapest one that has good insulation inside.

Hey sister, I just saw you on an old Ray Comfort video about your husband leaving after you became a Christian, and mine did too in 2006. My last video was a couple of days ago with the same tiger swallowtail (not monarch sorry) butterfly that was the first butterfly of spring. My channel is about the soon rapture of Christ's bride/church, and I hope you are still in love with Jesus. Maranatha.

I enjoyed this so much. Just wondering when and how they connected the larger pipe cavity to the stove pipe cavity. They did not adjoin each other...there was a handspace of clay separating them. Also, she mentioned a wall in the large pipe cavity between the 2 saucepan spaces. I don't understand how the air/flames flow through the larger cavity opening to the stovepipe cavity if there is a wall.

A lady in Virginia, USA made a solar cooker using Mylar instead of the silver foil, which might make it even less expensive to build. In my country, crisps and other snacks are packaged in Mylar bags, which are thrown out. I don't know if they do so in your country, Mr. Abraham. Mylar would be more durable also, I believe. Her solar cooker is on a You tube website called "rainbow gardens" I have another idea for your cooker I would like to ask you about, Mr. Abraham, if you could email me. Thank you.

This brought tears to my eyes. I grew up between around Bordeaux, and much of the time in Dordogne. Chestnut and walnut were the staple foods for centuries there -- chestnut for flour, walnut for oil; we're just north of what the Romans saw as the 'civilisation line' above which olives don't grow. I know precisely how much wood you need to heat a typical family of 5... That's 25 cubic meters (not quite 8 cords). It used to take about 15 days to get it chopped, piled neatly, 2 years in advance ready to dry; but that's from deliveries in 2m coppiced lengths. The good side of wood heating, is it warms you 3 times: when you chop it, when you carry it, and when you burn it 😂. My parents used to skip school because they'd rather be picking grapes, then hazelnut, then walnut, then... How did I loose this? As the poet says "j'ai quitté mon chene, comme un saligaud, mon copain le chêne, mon alter ego"

I wonder if packing the tire with rocks, concrete, or sandy-mud would help it retain more heat - and then placing the entire thing on a bed of rocks or a slab on concrete painted black. I realize that you use what you have, of course.

Made this today and made a dark German style bread in it, after I saw your video last night. I am absolutely thrilled and blown away by it. Mind you I'm using it on the Mediterranean summer sun, so this probably helps. But I'm still mind boggled by the fact that the bread actually turned out better than in my oven. Wish I could send pictures here, lol. Btw, I used a giant glass lid to cover the earthen pot I had the bread in, which was also covered by a smaller glass lid. Worked really well!! Thank you a million times, I hope that Moses gets all these wonderful feedbacks himself. Great help for the upcoming crises. Loads of love from Spain
