Im disappointed that Origin seems to be nothing more than a turd wrapped in the American Flag. Although it's admirable how they source everything from the USA, unless the quality is better than lower priced offshore boots i will never buy them no matter how much flag waving they do. These boots are garbage. The only way this country will get back on its feet again is to make superior products, not Chinese junk made in America.

Nice video and great woodwork. Bought the Bosch GSS 12V-13 a few weeks ago. It's by far not the most powerful, but it's a joy to use. Small, ergonomic and lightweight.

Wow, you guys are rough on this guy. You can barely notice it, just chill. What I would have done to make it less noticeable, though, is to carve in a grain over it to blend in better. Just a couple lines and it would take your eye off it

Dang, I can't imagine working that late. Im a solo op, and i build a lot of wallunits and custom cabinets, but I do a lot of field work, too. My typical day I start around 10 and end around 6. Make plenty of money and travel a lot. And barely work weekends. I'm not bragging, but idk what some guys are doing out there

To be fair, on the second test. The 5mm stroke is a far bigger advantage in speed over the 6 inch pad.

Wow that wood looks incredible. I’m prepping for my biggest solid walnut slab project ever in about a month (hoping the wood is dry enough by then Eek). Raw edge one side, straight on bartender side. Drove 2,000 miles to hand pick up 4 25-32” x 14’8 slabs for a big bar top. Hopefully I don’t shit the bed on this one. It’s stressing me the hell out. Also doing epoxy pour. I’ve done a couple before never this big though.

@@TNTINDUSTRIESLLC yeah I definitely am going to, thanks. Actually watching videos of it before I saw this comment. My biggest concern is getting the MC of the slabs down to the EMC of this area (or close to it) in time. Currently they’re sitting in a climate controlled environment with plenty of airflow and heat (72F 40% RH ) but they’re sitting anywhere from 11-14% and the EMC for my area is around 6-11% depending on the time of the year. I figured I could get em to 9-10% max and it’ll be close enough and will minimize movement after install but I’m shittin bricks worried about getting that 4% in time for working on them in a month.

2 years later., Origin soles are still coming off. Frustrating to say the least. I'd spend the cost of the boot to have a better outsole and midsole. I'd send my boots to Trenton an Heath for a rebuild if I thought they would work on a stitch down construction, but at least in one video they said no way and they they were only building one for a special person. Again, really nice boot for casual use/dress. It's not a work boot. No way. Makes me wonder if I can get parts of my Harley boots repaired. (heel cap only , even the outsole is still good after 10 years!)

Ditto on the boots. Just bought mine in October 23', and I have similar problems. The sole is coming apart at the toes. I am on my feet as you, 10hrs a day easy. Not to mention I use them work and at home. So if I am awake and have footwear on, these boots are on my feet. At work, I also kneel a lot, which puts a bunch of strain on the front of the boot. The sole is half worn after this continuous use. It doesn't seem like many places want to repair this boot either. Super comfy! Yes, after a pretty nasty break in (they wore the top of my foot raw, just below the ankle), they are super comfy and great to walk in. I feel the rest of the construction is great, love the fact that the leather comes from my home town of Milwaukee, love the USA sourced, USA made philosophy, but like you I think these are not work boots. Casual dress boots, yes. My $150 pair of Harley boots that are 10 years old are still a stronger construction. I still like them, but I have to look for an alternative for work - Wolverines, or something.
