My 1200 has no cats & eBay cocktail shakers no baffles. SUPER loud & sounds sick af when rev matching. Idk if iPhone 12 microphone will do it any justice tho:/

Thanks for the content, man, a joy to watch. I was very close on pulling the trigger on one, but I had so little time with it, just saw it and sat on it for 5 min., I don't know what to expect. I'm worried that it will be too small for me, 1.86 m and 90kg. How do you feel it, for your weight and height, ergonomics wise? (Doesn't seem to be a problem, from the videos :)) ) Thanks again, enjoy your ride!

Sorry for the late reply. I'm the same height and same weight! I was concerned about comfort myself, but honestly, I find it perfectly comfortable for the type of riding I use it for, which is fun weekend runs for a few hours. Sure, it's not a comfort oriented bike, but it's by no means a torture rack.

That bike sounds GREAT! It’s rare a slip-on makes a noticeable difference in exhaust note with the converter installed. Your setup is an exception!

Hi Knuckles, thanks for your great vid! Maybe you can help a brother out with a few answers: - Does you throttle response lack a few miliseconds as well with your current set up? I've got the R + X pipe + V&H and the throttle response has gotten worse. - Further, with a warm engine do you hear a pop sound occasionally when you shift gears? - Ever used a power commander? You had any luck with it to cancel the pops? - Does your engine also sound very metallic and scratchy (opposite of a smooth buttery japanese engine) - Does your handle bars have a slight vibration while your riding your bike? No issues witrh throttle response on my bike. Without hearing your bike, it's impossible for me to know what you're talking about, but there are lots of pops from the exhaust on overrun, pretty common, you can here it in my videos. No power commander on mine. Metallic and scratchy? no. I'd say the amount of vibration is normal, and expected on a twin. I have no reference for what a 4 cyl jap bike feels like.

I'd love to know how you record the sound so well. I looked through your videos and haven't seen anything showing. Do you use a DJI mic and put in backpack wrapped in a towel? Love your videos and love the Thruxton.

Coming from 1000cc Japanese bikes I thought this bike is way underpowered but man i was wrong, I just did test ride on one and God what a stunning piece of art it is, look 💯 handling 💯 brakes 💯 clutch and gears are 😮‍💨💯 the engine is what really made me confused, silky smooth yet tons of power and torque, feels like way more than 100 hp, i never ever considered cafe racer but after the ride i think it is absolutely perfect combination of sport, elegance and comfort.

Yeah, the torque curve and power delivery on the Thruxton R and RS is intoxicatingly fun. It's like a Cane Corso with the personality of the family Golden Retriever. It keeps dropping that 80-something ft-lbs of torque in your hand like its favorite tennis ball and begging you to break laws with it, and it's absolutely over the moon when you oblige.

That sound never gets old . I like what you’ve done to the paint scheme had thought about doing a similar thing is that a wrap over part of the tank and seat cowl. I’ve slowly been blacking out all the silver parts with cerakote

I will never understand why people ride torquey twins like a inline 4. Why you in such a low gear all the time keeping the revs sky high? The engine is literally called a high torque motor, so use the torque! Stick it in a high gear, keep it there, stop changing down every corner you come across and feel the torque! Otherwise go ride a R6.

No, the bobber and T120 use the HT (High Torque) motor, the Thruxton RS uses the HP (High Power) motor. You've obviously not ridden one. These bikes love to rev and pull hard all the way to the redline, so why wouldn't you use it? especially on tight mountain roads.
