On god, being able to hear these One Night Stands, Remotes, and the occasional Spotlight Bands is so invaluable. 3-4 years later, your efforts back then mass posting these all are still greatly appreciated.

I agree with Decca. I wouldn't have released this, either. You have two fabulous entertainers who sound like they are rehearsing the tune for the first time. They haven't even begun to find the possibilities inherent in this tune. The backup band? Sounds like they're reading the charts for the first time, too, and they slog through it like oatmeal. No one seems to have a sense of what the song is about. What's the melody? I couldn't hum it, can you? There's no "hook." There's really not much here. I think they might have been able to work this into something much better, and it's a shame they didn't try, because there is some merit here. The byplay between Louis and Dorothy is wonderful; her singing is fabulous; Louis has a so-so solo that might have improved with practice. What makes record a standout is that it is the opposite of the old cliche. It is an unreleased record that deserved to be unreleased.
