I agree with Loganathan of Malaysia that study of Sumerian is important to know the evolution of world of languages.. I postulate that Sumerian gave way to development of all European and Semitics including Sanskrit..

J2 is interesting of Thodar.. earlier I had seen/shown the Thodar temple architecture and Sumerian, even today, the Marshy reed construction look alike.. I also postulated whether chanting (singing) by Thodar syllabic is reminiscent of Sumerian speaking..as I had read Sumerian transcripts in English.. when we say J2, should we look into other smaller ancestry say A,B,C etc.. we miss still the past.. I also used to wonder, as I have identified-as Dilmun, Western Mountain ranges of Kerala.. we could expect some kind of to & fro movement and communications.. will it be alright to just say J2 came here.. or J2 went from here..

I suspect this study is flawed. I think by saying 'Mideast' genetic group, professor has taken into consideration, people living today in the mideast. I have seen this study about 'Marsh Arabs of Iraq'. But they may not be the descendants of sumerians. Sumerians could have been wiped out or spread out to South India without traces. So by saying people of mideast, does not represent people who invented farming, and the people who invented cueniform scripts. There are two sets of people at the same time, one is Sumerians and another Akkadians or Semitic people. I think your study only connects to Semitic people.. Not the genes collected from burial sites of Ancient sumerians.
