Where did you find the rubber seal ??? Thanks for the video btw!!!
@justinbrandt4192 жыл бұрын
My 1996 has hard plastic wrap around the hose at that spot. Early ones might not, or slipped down.
@hermangareis2 жыл бұрын
I saw pieces of the plastic wrap in the area. Just falls apart after several years.

You won’t hear about this on ih8mud. They try to sweep it under the rug. Frikkin toyota worshippers can’t admit that Toyota had zero concern on designing a proper drainage system for the FJ80 sunroof. I have the same problem. It’s a totally f$//;d up design. Sheesh the way they kink the hoses
@hermangareis5 жыл бұрын
Davey Jones there are definitely more than a few areas on these Toyota’s where designs seem to be an afterthought. My biggest frustration has been within the doors especially the damn window motors. But I do have to say that where it counts this thing has been absolutely over engineered and bombproof!! I always get a kick out of it when a guy in a 2018 Jeep is trying to justify his purchase. And then I make em realize they are comparing their built late model vehicle to a 30 year old vehicle. That being said, I wish I had the skill to delete the damn sunroof

Looks awesome! Did it make a big difference? I’m planning to do the same with my 80, how long did it take to strip the car and was it difficult? Cheers
@hermangareis6 жыл бұрын
TheGoprotraveller striping the vehicle was not very difficult at all. Most of the panels just pull off. The seats are just 4 bolts each. The liner made a huge difference. No more vibrations and as quiet as a modern car
@TheGoprotraveller6 жыл бұрын
Awesome! I was afraid it would be a hassle to strip the whole car but the panels indeed go off easy and I guess the rest shouldn’t be too hard, how much of the liner did you actually need to do the whole car? I saw some rolls on eBay of 8m long and 1m wide but I don’t think that would be enough...
@hermangareis6 жыл бұрын
TheGoprotraveller the liners I used is Noico. You can get them on Amazon for a really great price. Make sure you get the roller to apply the stuff. If you want more info, you can PM me on ih8mud.com. My handle there is ZeGerman

Yeah In a town called Weehawken. Built right on top of the Lincoln Tunnel. About 5 minutes from midtown Manhattan. Its a great place to live. Half the price & double the space. The view is not too shabby either.
