They would have been fine without help. Its part of learning. Mom or dad swan would have gotten out of the water to help them over the edge if the babies really couldnt manage. There was no need for intervention. Let nature do its thing...

Birds have a thing of throwing out their new babies pretty really so they learn to fly, I am seeing too many videos of men thinking they are trying to help somehow, when the parents know what they doing by putting them there In the first place and staying close by. Clearly this is how they teach their young g we are just ignorant of it and think they need saving

'Hero' is a bit of a stretch. A nice gesture, sure. Keep in mind, animals have different styles of parenting, just because the parents appeared as helpless to their young, doesnt mean they are. That wall may have been man-made, but it's no different an obstical from a small cliff or large tree that has fallen. Ultimately, the man couldve fatality injured one the young. Good intentions might impress your loved ones but they dont always yield good outcomes.
