I hate when they suction the pus up it defeats the object for us who enjoy a good messy drainage 😮

I am getting three teeth pulled tomorrow. Wisdom tooth, and two back molars. I was told i should get bone graft in case i want implants in the future. i dont see myself getting implants especially for those back teeth. What is your advice? I have a bad feeling about getting bone graph and have been torn with what to do

I had a coronectomy on #32 on May 3. I then began having throbbing on tooth 30 and 29. I then got referred to an endodontist and my tooth #30 then needed a retreatment of root canal. So I went ahead and had it done. I am still having throbbing pain and having to go back and forth from surgeon to endodontist and they are at a loss of what may be causing me this throbbing pain that feels like a bad toothache. ;( it will not go away and my xrays look good . Have. you ever had a patient experience something similar? (as in throbbing pain on teeth) I dont know who or where to go to for a 2nd opinion.

I've been dealing with something similar 5 months out. Had 32/17/1/16 pragmatically extracted in Jan due to a cavity on 32 and with the oral surgeon recommending I just get all 4 taken out. They found infection and performed a root canal 3 months after the surgery on 30. No issues on the left side, but persistant tooth ache pain on the right, certain before and a weeks after the root canal. It's gotten a little better over time, but if I put pressure on those right hand molars I feel non-achy pressure (hard to explain, like the sensation of something stuff inside the inside) and if I mess with it too much and or eat rougher food it will start aching, but the pain goes away if I'm careful for a few hours or after a night's sleep. The weird thing is if I eat sweet food, I taste the sweetness for a few hours (same with salty/vinegary food) but it is too strong/persistent to be food stuck in my teeth in my opinion. Of course the dentist, endo and oral surgeon look at me like I am crazy because it all appears clinically healed and looks great on the xray. Just hoping it continues to get a little better over time. No signs of infection at all.

I had 3 coronectomies on 3 wisdom teeth in May 2024 as well. I started having pain on #17 a few months out. We decided it must be #19, because a 3d scan showed the root canal had a small infection. I pulled it just to have the pain gone. A month later and the pain is still feeling like it's coming from #17. In a few weeks I'll go in for another scan. If the scans look good, then I guess it's nerve damage. Which was a risk. If my roots ever migrate away from the nerve, I'm definitely having it pulled.

Great video ! I have an abscess diagnosis on my correnectomy roots in the lower left wisdom tooth area. They are saying they need to take the roots. They are close to the nerve. Previous attempts to take the whole tooth 24 months ago failed ( 2 x 3 hours in the dentist chair). Could they be easier to take because of the infection?

After drilling, how does the treatment continue? How risky is it to break too much bone at the end of the implant? I know a case where there is only slightly more than 2 mm distance between the end of the implant and the main nerve below the bone. How well would a removal be possible? Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure we have the same definition of explosion 🤔🫤 Regardless, that was amazing by all the medical people involved. I hope your patient is better. Not much worse than a tooth or face abcess.

What about the risk of numbing when removing roots? Would there ever be an alternative or do you have to remove the infected roots, even if there is risk of numbing
@daled4549 Жыл бұрын
So i had mines done a few weeks ago, ended up getting dry socket and then, exposed nerve from the crown being cut. Dentist told me he can do root canal to remove nerve or i can wait till the gums heal and cover it. I decided to let gum cover it since it wasnt hurting that much. Was that the right decision? And im also getting sour taste there. He said its food getting stuck in there cresting a fermenting taste. I still got some upper cheek pain for some reason and eye pain since surgery. Hope fully this goes away. Sorry for all the writing . Just concerned since there is not alot on internet about coronectomys...
