I watched the movie with my family and we found a lot of the family stuff very relatable as western PA Italian Americans. An aspect of the movie that was slightly less relatable for me was hearing all the New York/New Jersey accents from the wonderful cast. My nonno and his brothers had a quite different way of speaking, one that is easy for me to imitate but would take a linguist to describe! However, they were of course equally hilarious to hang out with as depicted in the film and some of the best times of my life were spent listening to their bullshit :) One thing I loved about this interview was hearing Shannon's and Robert's regional accents! Very similar to my own - not cartoon character yinzer but slips out on certain words in comfortable settings.
