I was sold a pair for $80 but I’m not advanced into climbing maybe close to intermediate (hope to get better), would this still be a solid and comfortable everyday climbing shoe or is it overkill?

Hi Ernest. Feel free to come to our store to discuss your current pair and perhaps the next one. We have our annual Boxing Day Sale on now until Monday January 8th 2024. The perfect chance to grab a bargain throughout the entire shop - including climbing shoes! :)

I wear Katana Lace 42.5. Shall I purchase Otaki of the same size?

Hi Alexander, The Katana Lace and Otaki fit very similar in size to each other so I would stick to the same size.

@@BogongEquipmentAus one more question - do otakis have the same soft inner "sock"/"tongue" as katanas do?
@BogongEquipmentAus
@BogongEquipmentAus Жыл бұрын
@@korbendallas1210 Hi Alexander, Otaki tongue and the Katana Velcro tongue are identical. The Katana lace is a little bit different. But similar. The Otaki tongue is attached on one side and unattached on the other side. It is padded like the K Lace and designed to wrap around the foot. The padding is not as thick as the K Lace. The Katana L tongue also runs well back towards the heel of the shoe on the medial side and the Otaki tongue doesn't. Hope that answers your question.

Hi I am 10 1/2 street size I have these in 10 they feel good brand new did you think I did a wrong choice??
@BogongEquipmentAus
@BogongEquipmentAus 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Michael, We would normally recommend going down further than that from your usual street size. But if they are comfy for you it might be OK. By the way these come as native in euro sizing. The 10.5 is just a conversion. If you want more help I suggest that you email us at [email protected]

Ok, so you are one size down on euro sizing. This should be OK. We usually sell one to one & a half sizes down. Some people buy smaller than that for sure but this sort of becomes a self fullfilling prophecy as the tighter they are the more they stretch.

I own the previous generation of this stove and also the one before that. They're great! But my big but is that you can't pack a gas canister into the empty central space when packed. Drives me crazy, looks like they haven't made room for a 100g canister in this generation too. That gripper does look great!

Lovely review, thank you! So if I am a 10.5-11 (44) street, I would go down 2 for 9 (42)?
@neilblundy1105
@neilblundy1105 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Justin, Tks for your query and apologies for the slow reply. We find when fitting in store we go down either one or two sizes in euro sizing. ie You could be a 42 or 43. Also keep in mind that they do come in 1/2 euro sizing so 42.5 is certainly an option for you and perhaps the bets compromise. By the way we have all three of these sizes currently in stock. Cheers.

Any tip on how to size Otaki? My street size is 42 (US size 8.5 or 265mm with EE) and size 39 Miura (I can't wear Miura for more than 1 pitch). I'm looking for performance trad climbing fit, where I can wear a pair for 2~4 pitches at a time.
@BogongEquipmentAus
@BogongEquipmentAus 7 жыл бұрын
We'd recommend size 39.5 in the Otaki. Most customers are two sizes down from their regular shoe size, give or take.

Hi, what is the measurement torso length for size S and L for this pack?
@BogongEquipmentAus
@BogongEquipmentAus 10 жыл бұрын
Hi Audi, By my reckoning hip to shoulder is about 38cm for the S and 42cm for the L. In practice I have found the dividing line is about 176-175cm body height. Taller means you need the L and shorter means you need the S but of course back length is not always directly related to the height.

Hi, I am currently interested with this sentinel pack. I have 49cm of torso length. So, which one do you think fit by torso length perfectly? Thank you for the advice.
