You’re awesome, thanks for this helpful video. I have a question. Do you know if in California we are allowed to take the Naplex first and do the internship after the Naplex?

That’s not unexpected given that people generally only go to pharmacies if they’re sick or injured or have a loved one who is.

That’s probably because 99.9% of the time all the resident endures is constant ridicule. It’s always the same thing, you’re either too much or never enough. Instead of teaching you, they act as though you should just know how to do everything and then degrade you when you don’t. Not to mention there’s always one person that has a life filled with misery that’s looking for company. Sadly the resident is the company.

So glad you added a note about seeing the little geysers and thermal features. Anemone Geyser (near Old Faithful) is my all-time favorite. It's usually active every 10 minutes or so, and when it's finished splashing and spouting, it flushes itself. Makes me laugh every time.

@@HappyPharmLife I drove my Tesla with FSD to Pikes Peak Summit on 9/28. I really enjoyed the journey. The Tesla FSD handles the drive of Pikes Peak Highway well, except a few sharp switchbacks. I was enchanted by the fall foliage at low to mid altitude, and amazed by the change of scenery when going through 4 ecosystems. I will make a video about my trip.

Can you do math problems for RX techs? I work at a hospital and I struggle at times with milliequivalent type of calculations. We had maintenance issues and had to make heparin syringes by scratch.

Thank you so much! I am retaking Missouri MPJE on Sept. I think the most helpful part was that you did the Missouri MPJE, so hopefully the Missouri practice guide is helpful enough! I have been reviewing that mostly with Rxprep.

TLDR is helpful, but the practice guide should also be sufficient. It depends on how you like your information organized. TLDR is more chart-based

She .made an error when cleaning the syringe. If you wash your syringes in soapy water, you MUST rinse with clean water and take the syringe apart and wash the entire syringe, then rinse it. Her method will leave soapy water in the tip of the syringe which will mix with your medication, contaminating it. She also failed to mention that the med in the top of the syringe is wasted as it is not part of the measurement. Some people draw up air to try to give this trapped medication but they will then overdose that small amount.

Pharmacists have do not receive the respect they rightfully deserve because the boards of pharmacy do not support them as they should. The NABP is not vocal enough about the issues pharmacists face every day, especially in retail settings. They may is the exact reason I only worked in retail for approximately one year then I worked in a military hospital in my hometown. Retail was a nightmare: no breaks , only one technician if that; patients who absolutely refuse to wait more than a few minutes for their prescription(s) to be filled. Most patients are generally polite; but on a regular basis you will have patients cursing, threatening you, screaming, etc. And since the patients know you cannot ( and should not) lose control, that are only emboldened to the even more bullying behavior. If I could give any advice to a new pharmacist, you’re generally better off working in a hospital than a retail setting. If I had to choose this profession again , I’d go for a PharmD-JD.

These are actually really great tips! I totally compartmentalized my APPE's and NAPLEX. Your method is how it should be done. It will serve you better to tie in your practical experiences with your NAPLEX prep.
